Recall effort against Arizona's Sheriff Joe Arpaio fails

With the way his electorate keep voting him back into office (6 terms and counting), the idea of them giving him term limits is rather preposterous. Agree or disagree with his policies, his electorate vote for him to follow through on them, and he does.

Recall attempts are about 2 things - politics and money. The way they succeed relies on only one of them - money. This time around, his opponents didn't have enough money, despite some serious injections of cash from sympathetic donors. Next time (if they don't just wait until he's dead), they will have more, which might just get them to a vote.

The only way this circlejerk ever stops is when one side or the other runs out of money, or realizes that is just a waste. But that requires smarts, and we're talking politics here.

Clearly you need to read my post again. The electorate can "limit his term" by voting him out of office. I happen to believe the best "term limits" are those imposed by informed voters.

Obviously you missed my point. The electorate of that county wants him. His detractors can pound sand in their @ss. His detractors cannot win in a fair and square election. Tough sh*t for them.
