Teenagers can't wait to drink and buy cigarettes legally. So what? Most of the boys are looking toward getting laid for the first time and who knows what girls that age are looking for, they don't either.

Which is why I educated my children about cigarettes, alcohol, sex and firearms long before they were teenagers. None of them drink, smoke, have had out-of-wedlock children, STDs, or an accident with the firearms they own. I also educated them to drive, walk down stairs. No accidents with electricity yet and so far teaching them to swim has prevented them from drowning.

The first sentence is correct. The 2nd proves you have no children and no experience with firearms. What qualifies you to speak about either?

Why not spend time with them taking them shooting, giving them gun lessons, answering their questions, teaching them skills, giving them knowledge? There may be less depressed children if their parents did that with them.

My grandsons 16, 8 and 6 are all shooters. The oldest was also well racked at Olympic archery. Just got a 3 month old new one, just have to wait until everyone figures out if she is a lefty or righty to get a correct rifle.

I raised four kids with firearms to adulthood and not a case of depression to be found. And no firearms accidents or criminal behavior. Probably a coincidence.
