Hi guys, as per my previous post. Hardcopy has arrived, interview scheduled for Saturday morning June 29!

What is the best/quickest way to resolve this? I got infopass for June12. Not happy, I want a date before 4th of July (crossesfingrs) so we can bbq and celebrate in peace sigh...

Do u think they will seeme and correct it, if I just show up?

wow they have interview every saturday now...that's a good idea that your going to infopass. they might have some typo error. about the date i doubt that you able to choice..i think it depend in there availability.

Hi Darnell,

I was informed on May 29th, my interview was scheduled for June 29th and to expect a hard copy interview letter. The only problem is USCIS scheduled my interview for a Saturday morning. I think they only do interviews mon-fri, so I called the customer service line and they said do info-pass. I did. It was for June 12. So I asked VJ whts a quicker way to inform local office of the mistake, before June 12 (thats 12 additional days of them scheduling interviews, which i fear i have to rejoin the line and push my day back to maybe Jul 12 or later)

Everyone said "wait until you get the actual copy" So I did, just wanna know if I can show up at the office (its only 15minutes away) and let them know asap. like Monday June 3rd so my new interview date will be adjusted sooner???

Not at all, I didnt see ur response before that the Saturday interview date was real. I thought it was an error.

Are you very busy on Saturdays? I would've been more than happy to have it on Saturday instead of leaving my work during the weekday which I had to do. Just wondering, not being mean, but really....

Thats not it at all. Im fine with the date Saturday date given. I just never knew they did Saturday interviews.

So I thought my Saturday date was a mistake and was asking u guys the best way to correct the mistake.

Now ive been informed by Darnell that they Do have interviews on a Saturday.

It's highly unlikely that they do have interviews on Saturdays.

You can keep the InfoPass, or you can try to walk-in if the office is close and you have time. Nobody here can tell you if they will or will not be able to accommodate you if you go earlier.

Sounds like you have a problem to be fixed--or at least confirm.

If the guard stops you at the door and says you have no InfoPass appointment, try asking if the office is open on Saturdays. More than likely, he'll say "no." Then show him your interview letter and ask him why you have an appointment at this office on Saturday. He'll probably be confused enough to let you in.

Let us know what happens, though.

Oh okay. It just sounded to me that you freaked out that it's on Saturday. I guess just to double confirm you could do what others said that make an infopass and tell them this and that you just want to confirm this is the actual interview date. If it is, then you are more than lucky to get away with it at the weekend. Good luck to you! :)

I don't believe USCIS do weekend interviews.

You should definitely make an Infopass and see if the date they have sent you is correct.

There's a (small) chance that they'll be able to perform the interview right then during the infopass, so bring your spouse and all the relevant documentation. And let us know what happens.

The Dallas Office is very busy on Saturdays - lots of foot traffic and the I-130 Unit works like a fiend on that day.
