My wife and I run a group on facebook and its to educate Foreign wives on cooking, culture and tradition basically... We dont do background checks on anyone, we add by referral... I just advertised her so maybe there might be people in the same situation as us. Now all i hear is scammers etc.... PHEW!

I feel you on people always talking about scammers and 419 when you mention something about Nigerians and there relationships but as stated in another post the groups are not set up to aide scammers the 2 groups i mentioned do just what the OP said they educate, promote, and enrich American women married to Nigerian men. The women in the two groups discuss recipes they share pics of food they have cooked by posting in the groups some share relationship advice as well as how to cope with certain things and unfortunately there are individuals that need comfort from a failed relationship...so to each its on but I have nothing negative to say about American wives of Nigeria or American women married or dating nigerian men groups on FB. It is not my job to judge what is or is not a scam.

I don't think its so much Nigerians and their relationships. I mean if you are Nigerian you know perfectly well that internet groups like that is an open market for scammers and women who open themselves up for such situations. Its unfortunate, its not a judging people's relationship. Its just kind of a fact. It Naïve for people to think otherwise.

Have been a member of both groups since they basically started.....is there drama? Sometimes

If there are scammers in the group they choose to remain silent. If you start to post crazy,somebody usually picks up on it and alert the admin. We've lost and welcomed many

I am always amazed at the power of Nigerian men over american woman, seeing women petition for men that could be their grandchildren, women continue to deal with men that they have found with other women , sometimes even married to multiple. These same people look you dead in the face and tell you they have never seen scammers intermingled in these people. The level of denial is truly amazing. and how these people devote themselves to promoting shady immigration methods is just unbelievable at times.
