Oh wow, how does one find out when and where oath ceremonies are taking place? Good luck to you, I hope you get in to the one closest to you. I don't think I'd mind driving far to get this all over with as soon as possible. lol

BTW I could not get the format right I don't know if it's my computer but for the life of me I couldn't get it right. my EB date seems to be sticking out and going to the next line. Can you see if you can fix it, please? thanks.

I fixed the formatting, don't worry smile.png EB will stick out a little on smaller screens anyway. on my 17" widescreen laptop at home it's but on my 19" regular monitor at work it doesn't. Probably 'cause my computer is OLD. haha.

I found when the ones in Iowa are by googling "naturalization ceremonies iowa" and I got this link: http://www.iasd.uscourts.gov/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=112&Itemid=165 You can see it also says those that aren't requesting name changes can have an "administrative ceremony" and that those are held more regularly so who know's what will happen! I think I'd like it in my area so we can make a day of it smile.png

Eligibility date: 04/27

Hello Fellow June filers,

I just sent my package today. 06/19/2013

Lewisville office Express mail, it should be there tomorrow morning.

One thing though I added my a# behind the photos but forgot to add my name. Should be ok right?

Anyone has an idea on how long the process takes?

Should be fine.

Around 3-4 months until the interview, Oath could take a little longer. Depends on your local office. Have a look at past filers groups to get an average.

Thanks for fixing it. I found the naturalization ceremony schedule for here, and I didn't know it's either 3000, or 6000 applicants at a time. blink.png I don't know why but for some reason I thought it would be like 200 or maybe 300. lol Do you know generally how long it takes for in line to interview, interview to oath? I'm going to take a look at the other monthly threads and see what it looks like for the people here in or around L.A.

Oh wow, how does one find out when and where oath ceremonies are taking place? Good luck to you, I hope you get in to the one closest to you. I don't think I'd mind driving far to get this all over with as soon as possible. lol

BTW I could not get the format right I don't know if it's my computer but for the life of me I couldn't get it right. my EB date seems to be sticking out and going to the next line. Can you see if you can fix it, please? thanks.

If you look at January filers me and another user where both of our field office is in Los Angeles, we both sent our package on the same day, I waited for the Bio exact date while the other user went for EB, he lives in East Los Angeles while I live in West Los Angeles and we both have our oath ceremony on the same day. It took us exactly 148 days which is roughly 4.8 months.

Another user in January filers whose field office is also in Los Angeles stopped participating after his last post which was 05/01/13 for his interview.. The next oath ceremony after his interview was on May 23rd and if that was the case then he completed his journey exactly 140 days which is roughly 4.6 months. If he missed that oath, then the next oath ceremony would have been on June 26th then it would have taken 174 days which is roughly 5.7 months.

With that being said, I would say give it close to or at 5 months.

When oath ceremonies are taking place can be found at http://www.cacd.uscourts.gov/clerk-services/naturalization-ceremony-locations-and-schedule BUT where oath ceremonies are taking places really depends on where you live. They are going to throw you to the nearest ceremony based on your zip code.
