Thanks! I do know my interview date :-) which is a better situation than I was in yesterday! I am sure I will get the letter either via fax or the second one they mailed or will mail ...but amidst all this I have forgotten that I need to study for the interview which is in two weeks!!ClockWatch2.gif

Sorry Feastofroses, I couldnt seem to find where you mentioned your interview date other than in this post. You said it is in 2 weeks. Does that mean on September 13?

When I called again I was told that the date is the start of third week of September and is exactly one week away from September 9th. So its September 16. I need to still find out the time and the location, which I will be given on fax if my letter doesn't arrive by 9th. The officer said its being resent but it being a long weekend, it might not go out before Tuesday so most probably I won't have it by 9th in which case I will spend another hour on phone, though I must say this time when I called the wait was only 25 or so minutes.

The interview letter is sent from the USCIS field office "nearest" you. Atlanta field office was actually nearer to us, but they sent our file on to the Memphis field office. That field office is also where you will be interviewing at.

So in that case, it shouldn't take longer than 2-3 days to arrive.

Mine was sent from (NBC) Missouri and our nearest local Field Office is Dallas.

Mine was sent from (NBC) Missouri and our nearest local Field Office is Dallas.

That's weird. We applied through the Nebraska Service Center, and once it was complete there, they sent it to the Memphis field office, and it was Memphis who then sent us the appointment letter. I just figured that is how they always do it.

That's weird. We applied through the Nebraska Service Center, and once it was complete there, they sent it to the Memphis field office, and it was Memphis who then sent us the appointment letter. I just figured that is how they always do it.

I know... I thought I'd receive the precious letter from the Dallas USCIS since they are our local office and the nearest one, but no0pb.gif.
