Me, show off? Never! content.gif

Thanksgiving was good, spent 6 hours cooking, and then stuffing myself afterwards. My 3 year old loves to help.

I went to walmart around 4pm, and, it was just one big clusterf**k. I hate that place. I walked in, saw everyone hovering around everything like vultures, and walked right out. I went to the Christmas isle to look at decorations, and all the people lined up were giving me the stink eye, as if I was trying to cut in line. Thank goodness for online shopping lol I don't do black Friday.

lol I hadn't planned on cooking because I came back to DE from MI the day before. But then my BFFs husband and I were going *coincidentally* to Walmart at 5 so we decided to just cook so we can hang out before.

Im sorry your store was such a mess protest6wz.gif Ours was calm enough for hubby, my bffs hubby and I to get 21 out of 23 items and be out in an hour between 5-6:30. We went back to my house and had dessert and watched movies. Got my last item online

Oddly enough, a lot of people missed dinner for shopping but we made sure we cooked early enough to eat... Glad you did the same

No updates from feastofroses, or dylan'swife?

Hello, we had our ceremony on 11/20/13. Most of the time was spent waiting for something to happen :-) I got my certificate form the same officer who interviewed me, she recognized me too...:-) My mom was visiting me so it was even special that she could attend it. We applied for passports on 11/23 and got them 12/03. This was expedited service. Congratulations to everyone here and good luck to those in waiting. Thank you for asking about us happilycontent!

Hi Happyilycontent.

I had my oath ceremony on Nov 20th and was very happy to have my first Thanksgiving as a real American. The night of my ceremony we had a small celebration at a local pizza place where we were joined by close friends.

I also received my voter registration card in the mail.

Now I am waiting to go to the SSI office and update my info. I also changed my last name (I hyphenated mine and my husbands) so I have to get my id replaced and apply for my passport.

Hey guys,

Thank you Happilycontent and Jamaicanlove. I just got home from my interview and everything went smooth. Passed my english test, my writing test etc, He also asked me if I have a proof that I am still married to my wife. I gave him my taxes, bank statements for passed three month and state farm home insurance. He asked for a lease and since we do not have one I gave him a letter signed by the person we are subletting our apt from. Hope it is enough. He told me that everything went well and I will recieve a decission between 1 to 2 months. He also said that I need to show at my Oath Ceremony. Freaking New York. We pay the most taxes from the US states and they cannot even give you a direct answer. Everything just takes foreveeeer. Anyways, lets hope all is good and I will hear from them sooner than later. Any idea anybody how long it takes? Thanks again for your wishes and I will keep you posted :)
