"Have the packages been reviewed yet?" Ask as often as you want. I recommend once per day.

Remember, the operators will only see the packages have been received AFTER the review has begun. Until then, nothing will show up in their systems.

Ok, so in about a week-10 days I start calling and asking are they being reviewed yet. How long does the actual review last, couple of days? After that they will have been reviewed, right?

When are they marked as accepted; when they start reviewing them (as I-130 was) or when they are done reviewing them?

Then once both packages have been reviewed, then it's another couple of days (?) till case is declared complete?

Too bad the timelines here don't give you info for more granularity in your spreadsheet, sent-to-reviewed time for example. Or is that actually sent-to-complete that you have?

It would be nice if NVC had a portal similar to USCIS for case status. Just sayin'.

Oh, and, very importantly, big THANK YOU for all the work you are putting into this forum!

For me, the review took a few days, if I recall correctly. They're considered accepted once they've finished the review and nothing is missing or incorrect. Once the second package has been accepted, they do a quick final review, then the case is declared complete.

My spreadsheet has NOA2 date, date NVC assigns a case number, the dates the AOS and IV packages were sent out, then case complete date.

Yes, it'd be nice if they had an ACCURATE and UP-TO-DATE online portal for case status. This would probably cut out about half of the calls they receive, I'm sure. But alas, no online portal.

Anyone else having problems with their bills, not showing up at PAID? My IV bill was paid and went through my bank account two days ago and yet is still showing 'in process' in the payment portal. I'm just worried this will delay when I receive the DS-260 form online and sending in the documents since I can't get the cover sheet. Is there anything I can do?

The cover sheet is available as soon as you pay, so you should be able to log into the payment portal and download the cover sheet.

And sometimes it takes a few days for money to be processed. If it's cleared your bank account, it should be any day now when it changes to PAID on the portal.

Thanks so much for your quick response! I thought you had to wait till it was PAID. Will the fact it doesn't say PAID on the portal delay my DS-260 form though? That hasn't seemed to appear on the forms portal yet.

Also should I send in the IV documentation before I even complete the DS-260 or should I wait till that becomes available? Thanks!!!

Unfortunately, the DS-260 only becomes available after the bill shows as PAID (unless they've changed things in 2 years).

Doesn't matter if you send the IV package first or complete the DS-260 first. As long as NVC gets both, it doesn't matter the order. If you have the IV package ready, then I highly suggest sending it and not wasting any more time.

Was wondering if anyone has tried CEAC today? I get an application errorClockWatch2.gif

I had an error message this morning but then I tried a bit later and it pulled up my status. Not invoiced. I knew that since I just got my case number but I was just checking to see if it worked :)

SAYLIN, Hi! some good news and a little bad news.

I will quote part of the email we got:

"we are now ready to adjudicate your immigrant visa application but you need to undergo another medical examination as the previous one expired and request another police certificate"

Is this normal because my wife already had a medical exam 6 months ago, same with the Police Cert. ??

That's definitely good news. And yes, it's normal as medicals are only valid for 6 months. Police certificate validity varies by country, so it must be 6 months for France. Get the medical and a new PCC done asap and send them to the embassy. Hopefully that visa will be issued shortly afterwards.
