wow, what's with today's NVC staff today? My husband called coz he tried to pay the IV fee today and it didn't work. The lady he talked to was a bit of a meanie, and suggested it was probably coz we didnt have enough money in the account we paid it from (SO NOT).

I recommend you guys to call NVC in the morning, they usually have two people frequently picking up the phone in the morning and both are nice. I rarely had any problem with them. Not to mention that the wait time is a lot less than evening time (I usually call around 7-8 EST time).

My husband usually would call NVC around that time. Unfortunately he ended up talking to a really rude lady this morning. But we got told our expedite request was granted, so it kinda lessened the sting (of having to deal with a rude person on the phone!).

You need a case number to pay the fees and you should fill new i-864. If you meet first 3 requirement of i-864EZ then you should go ahead with that.

You can't pay the fees yet. You will need your case # and invoice identification number to be able to log in to the payment portal. But after you get those, it will still take another couple of days for the bills to be invoiced. The IV bill will be invoiced after the beneficiary's DS-3032 is accepted. So as soon as you get your case #, email the DS-3032. smile.png

The new version of I-864 (03/22/2013) is the only version accepted right now since it's already past June 23.

AOS and IV packages sent!

It's a relief to have those papers, that I've been looking at for so long, be out of my hands. I got tired of re-checking them.

Hoping for Monday delivery, and then it's a waiting game again.

I feel a bit embarrassed asking this at this point, and should probably be checking the guides again, but once packets are delivered what are the questions to ask to know someone opened the packages and started working on them, and when to ask?

I think you know the answer... you call.. they say give them 20 days or more, depending on who answers, you call again and again and again and then they review and accept them :)

do you get an email that states case complete?? I dunno.. anyone??

then interview letter comes.. email??? anyone???

from what I see on vj, average time for review to complete of docs is 11 days.. maybe 14 since nvc has slowed a bit lately

really happy for you :)

"Have the packages been reviewed yet?" Ask as often as you want. I recommend once per day.

Remember, the operators will only see the packages have been received AFTER the review has begun. Until then, nothing will show up in their systems.

I'm not sure if case complete emails are standard for everyone (non-EPers) yet. Interview emails yes. This only applies to those that gave over both email addresses though. If not, then you'll receive the interview letter by snail mail, which can take a few weeks to receive.
