Hi guys, please could you help. I just received this email

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: XXXX filed by XXX on behalf of XXXX.

You cannot chose and agent as the choice of agent letter has not yet been generated.

This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record will receive an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition.

So has it been rejected or accepted, because all I can find on here is that the second line means its accepted but the first line makes me think its been rejected?

Thanks!!!

It was rejected due to them not being ready. But it seems like they're ready now, so send another DS-3032 email asap. Use the tip in the FAQ to get a fast approval (since you've waited already for the DS-3032 to be received).

My expedite request to the NVC was finally approved! The operator told me to mail the IV supporting documents to the NVC with ATTN: PI Supervisor Sue. She will forward my file to the embassy immediately. I'm praying that everything goes well with the medical and interview.

Congrats!

Finally, got a good news. My old AOS has been accepted today (finally!) and case is complete and waiting on interview date from the embassy.

The delays have been so painful, first with USCIS delay on sending the file to NVC, then delay in getting the AOS bill and then delay because of backlog of AOS.

Saylin, Please feel free to add me to your spreadsheet.

Thank God!

Good morning Saylin and VJ brothers and sisters,

Kindly check this mail for me. I received this mail on last friday (June 21, 2013) afternoon. I hope this is a positive email from NVC. But I still do not get the invoiced IV bill. I am panic somehow as I actually need to move from this house on end of June. But I requested them to let me stay here for 2 more months. Hope God will help me.

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your correspondence.

This case is now enrolled in the Electronic Processing Program.

The additional email addresses submitted with the enrollment email were added to our records.

Please note that all forms and documents that we request and require in the future must be scanned copies of the originals. The applicant must present all original forms and documents to the consular officer at their visa interview. Failure to present the required originals at the visa interview will result in a denial or delay in obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant.

We received the Affidavit of Support Processing Fee payment(s) for this case. You must now download and complete the Affidavit of Support form(s). Please visit the following website to download the appropriate Affidavit of Support form(s) and instructions:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html

We received the principal applicant's DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent) form designating an address and agent. Instructions for paying the immigrant visa application processing fee and all future correspondence will be sent to the agent at the address selected on the DS-3032.

For more information regarding the immigrant visa application fee or for answers to frequently asked questions, please visit the following website:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3904.html

In order to better process future inquiries, please be sure to identify yourself in each piece of correspondence sent to the NVC. If you are writing on behalf of a law office please include the law office name as well as the attorney of record's name.

IMPORTANT:

Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

As this case is processing electronically, all forms and documents must be sent via email as scanned attachments to NVCElectronic@state.gov. Sending physical documents to the NVC will delay the processing of your case.

Where did you go to boarding school? In the UK?

From what I understand, they want the police cert from any country you lived in for more than 6 months after age 16 so if it's UK, then you should get it from there as well, i guess. I had to get one from Australia since I studied there for a few years and Malaysia since I live there too.

I could be wrong. Anyone can confirm this?

No my parents moved to the UK before I turned 16, and I continued my education at boarding school in South Africa for the next year and a half. I wasn't however "living" in the country as my home was in the UK, and I have yet to get the exact dates from the school but I think (hopefully) I'm just under the 12 months in total over that time.

I'm wondering how the embassy/NVC knows you have been somewhere else? I have bank statement proving I was living in the UK during that time, so hopefully I won't even need to mention it? I don't think it's on any of the I-130 or DS230 forms, as I've used my UK addresses for that time period?

As I was at school for just 3 months at a time at most and then came back to the UK, would that actually be counted as living in SA? I'm not sure I can get a police certificate from SA, at least not in a timely manner! :(

Although I am confused as I thought it was 12 months as I submitted under UK nationality, but I do have SA nationality!

Below are the guidelines from this website - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html

An applicant must obtain a police certificate from the local police authority:

"If you lived in a different part of your country of nationality for more than 6 months and you were 16 years or older at that time"

"If you lived in a different country for more than 12 months you were 16 years or older at that time"
