NVC Filers - June 2013

So anxious these days....we got case complete on June 13th and still no confirmation email from NVC! This waiting seems to be the hardest of all! I've been calling the NVC everyday and they said it should be coming soon....called the DOS and they said that our case has not been sent to Montreal yet. Come on people!!

Sorry, just had to vent to people who can feel my pain and know what I am talking about.

Lately, the case complete email is taking around a week to receive (after the case is completed), so you should be getting it any day now. Although, you don't really need it as you already know the case is completed by speaking with an operator.

And the case won't be sent to Montreal until an interview date has been assigned.

Ya, I keep jumping every time my iPad beeps that I have an email! Lol

Is it true they are still booking at the beginning of the month? Or do they also start booking at the end of the month as well??

Ya, it's weird, isn't it? CC emails used to show up within 2 days.

I got a CC on the 10th, not get the email till the 17th.

Soooo frustrating! I was actually looking at your time line this morning and saw this! I swear this process has taken 5 years off my life!! Stressssssss

Hi Saylin.. I got a checklist for the i-864.. the adjusted gross income not matching what was on the tax returns.. (hubby gave the wrong figures).. however we only sent the most recent tax return.. they asked us to correct the year 2012..however, i know 2011 and 2010 are wrong.. as my husband gave me the wrong figures for all of them.. Should I go ahead and correct them all or just correct what NVC asked for?

You too, ah? For me, an EP case headed to Guangzhou - I am baffled. Prior to 15 May 2013, EP casefiles to Guangzhou got scheduled 2 to 5 business days after final review complete. Now I'm 9 calendar days out, and biting nails.

But that's ok, really - I'm headed back to China this weekend, so at least I'll be with my wife whilst we wait together. I'm so d@mn tired of the supervisors at NVC telling me that this'll get scheduled during the 2nd week of the month.

Then on top of that there's a nasty rumour that the IV Unit most likely will participate in the Consulate Consolidation Plan, moving into the Big Consulate Enclave . That'll shut everything from 15 to 22 July. I guess it's ok for us if we get an interview in the last part of July, but I'm simply dreading an August interview at the moment.

Wow! I sure hope that rumor is not correct....I just want to get back home where I belong. My Husband will be here for a visit in just over 2 weeks, so I am just looking forward to that! The visits is what's been getting us through.

If you made a mistake on the other 2 years, it's best to correct them.

eh - Scheduling for Montreal is different, or at least it used to be different.

This Consulate Consolidation thingie in Guangzhou is all a mess, as there's not been 'official announcement' about the IV unit or possible shutdown of the IV unit during that time. Who knows? Maybe they'll keep it open during the week (the IV unit) and just shift all during the weekend into the new, fantasmagorically huge Consulate Enclave.

Any idea how long it'll take for case complete after sending rfe for AOS. I've read about 2 weeks, does this sound about right?

i have another question.. pls help... i just found out that my case was sent to us embassy manila on the june 14 but the IV packet that i sent to NVC was delivered to NVC on the 17th... can anyone help me with what i need to do? all my original documents was in the IV packet that i sent.. as per Darnell advised, he told i could make an appointment for interview online, which I did.. now my problem is..the documents for the IV packet... im confused.. i never asked NVC for expedite... i was surprised when they said it was expedited.. i only remember requesting expedite from the USCIS... anyway.. thats basically my problem the original documents that i sent at the NVC, that got them right after they sent my case to Manila... am i confusing you all? hope you get what im trying to say..im confused my self too.. ? is NVC going to return me the IV packet? or are they going to forward it to Embassy? i have already made an appointment for Interview in July..

Call NVC up asap. They should send the IV package along shortly to the embassy.

how long does it usually take for.a.case.complete these days and with the old I864 version??
