Hi guys, I need a little help with the process of getting the final interview.

I called on June 6 and was surprised to find that my case was completed at NVC, but she also told me that all June interviews were filled. Today I called back (6/19) and they told me all of July is already filled, August is the earliest and there's no guarantee of that either.

So my question is, how does this interview scheduling process work exactly? Why does it takes 2+ months to schedule something that seems to be mainly a formality? Is there anything I can do to speed up the scheduling part? Each time I call they seem REALLY annoyed with me before I even ask my first question.

Thanks for any help or advice!

hi can i ask question? can i send my AOS and IV packet in one envelope? but different folder..

I have heard that people have done this with no problems.

I sent mine separately but only because one wasn't ready. Aslong as they're clearly separated by a folder or something I see no problem with it.

Well put in an expedite request yesterday claiming nvc error. I have had my marriage certificate in supervisor review for 16 days today. And I know for a fact it is a checklist I should not have received due to the fact that I have not received a checklist for birth certificate and in Finland the marriage & birth certificate are on the same paper. On the bright side had my medical done yesterday, wish nvc was as fast as that, called the doctor on monday, got medical done tuesday smile.png

Slots for interviews are country specific. More than likely your embassy has few slots or they are just very busy.

It's not about it be a formality. Remember there is a big world out their VJ is only a very small piece of the pie.

This is basically the idea. You have case complete you are now in the queue. The embassies send NVC available openings. Based on your case complete (and seems receipt date at USCIS plays a part too) they start filling in the slots. And on it goes.

Since January they have been starting about the last few days of the month through the first week. The last go round They started April 28th and stopped May 14th.

There is a case complete Interview thread come on over and add yourself. All you can do is wait. Heck Yemin have a 6 to 9 month wait.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

Please Please put your VJ member name only. Not nicknames or real names whatever your VJ name is. It's below your profile picture!!

Do you think its a good idea or bad??

Just thinking ahead.

Thanks

There's no speeding up the interview date being scheduled. If there was a way, we'd all be doing it. This is a big waiting game.

I got a checklist for original marriage certificate. I sent the original marriage certificate. So I requested a supervisor review? Is there anything else I should or can be doing? Please help. Thank you in advance

Requesting a supervisor review is good good.gif Just call back once a day to see if the review has been completed or not.

Sending anything to the embassy now will be 100% pointless. They have no idea who you are. NVC has your case, not them. If you sent the old form to NVC, and you don't get a checklist for the form, then just bring a filled out version of the new form to the interview and hand that over then.

I didn't send any of the documents from our NOA process with the AOS package and wasn't planning to send them with the IV package either. Is it necessary? If the NOA 2 is approved, why does the marriage have to be checked again?

An original/certified copy of the marriage certificate is REQUIRED with the IV package. You'll get a checklist if you don't send it.
