Can you please advised me on what to do i called the visa center and first they said hey didnt find my photos which i sent to them with the iv package so i spoke to a sup and she told me she found the photos and sent my file to be be reviewed its been 2 weeks and im still waiting to get a response my question is should i ask for an expedite or is that gonna make this process longer thank you in advance

I agree with the if you don't ask you don't get! If I might ask, what were the grounds that you requested your expedite? I really want one!!! Although I'm a lot less stressed now as I get to see my husband for 12 blissful days in Portugal after not seeing him for 4 months

Well my expedite request was mostly based around financial issues and the fact my I-864 was on hold "indefinitely". I was forced to move out of my home after my hubby moved back to the US as I couldn't keep up with the bills and I now live with my mum, her partner and my 2 brothers.

The embassy still hasn't approved my request to expedite but I don't care so much now as everything is being processed much quicker than before! I just want my interview and my husband!!

Hope someone can help me! My case has been at the NVC for over a month and yesterday was the first day I couldn't access the payment portal, saying '....your case has been terminated'. I still can't access the information today. I know in Saylin' post it says that someone could be in the file but is it normal to be in the file for over two days? Also I've completed the DS-261 online since it was in the form portal but when I ask if it's been accepted, the operator says that it hasn't been issued? Is that normal?

Any help would be great!!

Yes, I would be so frustrated at such a small error! Right before we sealed our envelope we looked back over the form and I had written his birthday wrong (put our wedding date as they are so close together and I was so sick of writing dates!) and we also realized I had put my birthday in the day-month instead of month-day form. I've already been living and working in Britain for too long! haha

and Jenny thank you for that amazing reply! I have a feeling I will be living on these boards in the coming months, what a lovely community to have! I am so sorry to hear you aren't able to be with your husband during this time, the prospect of being apart is what is giving me the most anxiety about this entire situation!

it's good to know there are phone numbers and people you can chase up to help this process along I will be watching it like a hawk!

it will help if you have questions you start your own thread.. you are posting in the nvc forum which is not correct

also many of your questions are answered by typing key words into the visa journey search box

this is a do it yourself site with help from members, but we do ask that you perform your own research

If they're reviewing it, there's not much you can do but wait. Unless you have a very good reason to expedite, don't ask for it.

Sounds like your IV bill might be getting invoiced!

Just called NVC and they stated that they did review my AOS and it's good. They did say that I will be receiving a check list requesting for the Ds-230 which I have already submitted so eagerly waiting for that. yeah ....

ok - that's a bit weird - when i called in today to check casefile status, they also asked to verify her home telephone number. That's the first time they've asked for that, all the prior calls were her name, dob, email, my name, dob, email .

yip me too data base error .. a call to nvc confirmed they don't know what is up and could not access my file.. I will try again now that you said that

When I call, they always check my husband's (the petitioner's) phone number. It gets a bit frustrating, can't they see that our contact info has already been verified a dozen times?!?

If you are part of the electronic processing program, u can email your package right a way to NVC. If not, i recommend that u mail it to them asap. They are having issues with the online payment portal, mine took about a week to show as "PAID." Since they took the money from your account, u are good to go.

I just got the checklist (Please confirm guyz if this is just a false checklist)...I just wanted to make sure...here it is:
