Hi Saylin!

I was wondering if you know if it is ok to send AOS packet even though payment portal still shows "in process"? I had called NVC twice today, the first operator told me that it wasn't even showing that it was "pending" and to check with my bank to see if they deducted the amount from my account. So I did and they did deduct the amount from my bank account, so I called again and I told the operator that NVC did deduct the amount but wasn't showing "paid" and she told me the samething the first operator that it wasn't showing that it was "pending" but to go ahead ahead and send the packet anyway. I'm afraid that something might go wrong and I have sent the AOS packet overnight express mail because I want to make sure it gets there this week so they can review it before the expired old AOS date. Just worried don't want anything to go wrong.

Thanks for the advice!

Ellie

I'd say if it's at least cleared the bank account, then you can send it. If you're worried about something going wrong, then just wait until the payment says PAID on the payment portal.

You just need to send a bar-coded cover sheet (either the one included with the checklist or the respective one on the payment portal) and then the checklist response.

My husband paid AOS fee this afternoon. He might need to send AOS package next week.

For the electronic processing, does he have to print out the AOS form, fill up, sign, scan and send together with tax transcripts? Thanking you all in advance.

The forms can be filled up on the computer instead of doing it by hand. But yes, once the form is filled out and signed, it's scanned and then combined with all the other documents into one PDF. That one PDF file is then emailed.

I split mine. 7 pages , print to pdf using cutepdf.

8th page, scan as 1 bit png, open in irfanview, print to pdf using cutepdf.

then i merged all (tax docs plus plus) using a PDF Merging tool from KVISoft. was sweet !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Once I paid the AOS bill the cover sheet was ready to be printed but I just paid the IV bill but I didn't see the IV cover sheet available to print, should I be worried??

Yes, be extremely worried.

Why? You should be worried that yer slacking off, not reading posts #1 and #2.

Oops! Silly me! Didn't see where I had to select between the AOS & IV receipts! Just printed the IV coversheet! Thanks guys!! smile.png

Yay ! Silliness overcome . Party On !

after spending a day ...collapsed... because we were put in administrative processing , and nobody at nvc could give a timeframe...i cheched the payment portal 30 minutes ago and i get the "

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately." message...

so given the last experiences with fee payments ...does it mean we'll soon be invoiced?

I think I received a false checklist from NVC just now requesting for the entire IV packet with supporting documents.. But when I called them last Monday and yesterday, I was told that my IV packet was entered into their computer on June 6 and both my AOS and IV packets are not yet reviewed..What do you think guys?

I have a feeling that our AOS (I-864 new version) has just been reviewed.. Will call NVC later anyway and update you guys.. smile.png

Today is our 6 Months Visa Interview Anniversary.

On December 13, 2012 my wife had her Visa Interview and was told at the end of the interview: "Congratulations you will have your Visa in 10 days"

It has been exactly 6 months and still NO Visa!

On May 30, 2013 my wife received this email:

Dear Mrs abc,

We’re working on your case thoroughly in order to give a positive issue quickly,

Thank you for your information,

Regards,

Fraud Prevention Unit

So at this point in time can anybody recommend what I should do?

Maybe fly out to the Embassy, would I be able to get an appointment to talk to someone at the Embassy?

That does sound like a false checklist based on them reviewing, and accepting, your AOS package. Have you called them yet to find out?

I don't think flying out would help much. I'm not even sure you'd be allowed in the embassy for that, especially without an appointment.

I call the DOS everyday. And they keep saying we are in AP.

When I called the Embassy last a week ago I was told we should have a positive issue in 3 days. I believe the FPU is done with all their fraud checks and have no forwarded it back to the Consulate Officer. I just can't stand waiting any longer and I am afraid I may do something that may affect the case in a negative way.

What are we to do? Just wait? But for how long?

Thanks Saylin..

Just got off the phone and NVC already reviewed our AOS (new version) while my IV packet is still to be reviewed.. Was also told to DISREGARD the email with the false checklist and allow 20 more days for the processing.. What a relief.. smile.png

Good luck to all!
