When I learned of our CC yesterday, I cooked a large pot of squash soup.

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if anyone else is in the same/has been in the same boat as me.

My I-130 was approved on May 14th at the Philadelphia field office, and when we rang the NVC a week later were told the 15 working days story, and that our case was there but we would need to wait the 15 days until we got our number. However on the 15th working day we were told that our case was NOT at the NVC and we should wait 90 days until we receive a case number from them as it can take that long for them to get the case?!? #######!

My husband then phoned the USCIS and spoke to a tier 2 supervisor and was told by the guy that he "does not have the information" as to where our case is. I thought they were supposed to be able to tell where it is?!? I'm assuming it should still be at the field office? I'm really scared that it may have been lost!

We have asked our senators office to try and track it down and ask why we were told one thing then another, but I just wondered if this is normal or how I should proceed? I cannot believe they say it takes 3 months to post a stupid case file!!! My hopeful hopeful dreams of a July or August interview are slipping away

Mines also which was paid on monday too and my DS-3032 was accepted this mornning but still no IV bill

I called NVC again and the lady told me that if it shows that the amount has been deducted from your bank account then to send the AOS packet anyway.

That is how I did it. You figure by the time it gets there and they are ready to input it into the system it will show PAID.

Hello everyone!

So I finally got a date interview! Last days of April I sent all the documents requested and after a few weeks they wanted me to send AGAIN the marriage certificate and the affidavit of support. Anyways long story short yesterday I got an email that says I have an interview date and tells me what documents to bring to the consulate. With my huge surprise my interview is on July 16th!! I thought I was going to get an early August interview but for once I was lucky!

I'm very excited! Finally after 1 year away from my husband, I got an interview date and I should be able to hug him in less than 2 months! YAY!

The new AOS forms are being reviewed as of June 7th people have been getting case completes. I sent mine may 14 and it was reviewed on 6/11

Thanks everyone I don't know whether there's still hope for a July interview, as the only person from Serbia here on VJ got his case complete on May 29 and got an interview scheduled for July 30... Not too encouraging, but I'm still optimistic And Darnell, I prefer drinking when I celebrate

UPDATE

I got a email this afternoon from my Congressman's office with an update on our case. They sent me the correspondence they received from an Immigration Officer at the field office:

Our review indicates that the file is still located at the Newark Office. I have requested the file for a review in order to determine the next course of action. I will update you once I finish reviewing the file.

So it is STILL at Newark. I hope there is not much to review since, well...they already approved it. My Congressman's office said they will keep me updated on the developments, so hopefully I'll hear something more soon.
