We got through, lines are particularly busy today. We spoke to a supervisor and she said to wait 20 business days, but a couple hours later we have been invoiced

I just saw your message but i am happy that its fine now. My 3032 was accepted today, and hope to get the IV bill invoiced in the next couple of days.

Oh oh... Any news, have they reviewed your documents by now? I called the NVC back tonight and they haven't reviewed my certificate yet. Got the checklist email last Tuesday and I am wondering whether to just re-send the virkatodistus, together with a copy of the NVC's own reciprocity schedules... I understand that the NVC doesn't deal with that many applications from Finland and that they cannot be expected to remember what our birth and marriage certificates look like, but I wish they'd check their own instructions before sending out checklists.

Well just got the same checklist in email. So now trying to call them to see if its a mistake or they really can not see the married part from the virkatodistus.

Well seems like the supervisor never reviewed the paper. Called them and the person on the line was looking through the record and said it is weird, there is no reason put in here as to why I get the checklist for marriage certificate but not for birth certificate since they are the same paper.

Kindly help me on this.

I received the case number, beneficiary number and IIN today from the operator at NVC. When I checked this afternoon, it was not invoiced yet. When I checked again just now, it shows

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.

Is that mean they are processing our invoice or something need to contact NVC ?

Thanking you all in advance.

I found the answer in Saylin's FAQ. Thank you Saylin and everyone here for all the infos. I cant survive this visa journey without the help of you all.

Help! I can't sign into the payment portal. Why?

If you're getting an error message ("Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time…" or "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted…" or "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."), do NOT panic. This is actually good news! If you just got your case number, then this message means NVC is inputting your case in their system. If you get this message a few days after case number generation, then it's a good possibility that NVC is invoicing your AOS bill. And if this message appears a few days after DS-3032 acceptance, then there's a good chance the IV bill is being invoiced.

I called today the NVC and the lady told me they going to send me a check list. Any idea how long it takes from them to send it? I was hoping for case completion ughhhh

Around 1 week and you will get it by emails... If you want to save time, ask them now what the checklist is about and start preparing the documents ASAP. If you can mail within the same day you receive the checklist, you can save quite a bit of time on your end.

Well, I learned about this the hard way, as has Stevie-B recently.

After approval at a local office , the casefile is scanned, and the A-File is created. Once that is finished, it's lobbed into another queue to go out of the building. Some folk had it misrouted at this step, and the casefile pegged to go to NRC instead of NVC.

Stevie-B 's casefile was pegged for routing to NRC, and he caught it in time, before it left the building. IIRC, his casefile was at the San Antonio office 65 days after approval (I could be wrong on the # of days)

My casefile - I dunno - I had my ILS Human all over this, the week that it left the building. It left the building 31 days after approval, from the Dallas office.

So, this scanning bit takes time, it's yet another queue . Stevie-b's casefile got tagged for routing to NRC, but he corrected that before it left the building via an info pass appointment. My I-130 approval notice never mention NVC, and only mentioned adjustment of status, so my freak out was rather long and tedious, in an attempt to get it rehomed to get to NVC.

So, it's not just 'a bar code' - it's a full scanning in another unit at a local office, and after the casefile is scanned, the A-File is created.

Whew ! I'll have a look with the search tool here, see if I can find anything from prior monthly threads for you. What I wrote above is solely from my mostly munged memory.

we have the same situation.. my noa2 is feb 22,then in their system they sent it to NVC march 19 but instead sending it to nvc ther sent it to NRC they created also A-file.. they we seek help to senator cornym they sent our case back to HOUSTON local office lat May 13.. hubby did 3 times info pass before they sent to NVC ..june 3 NVC recieved our case..june 7 we recieved a case number.. I think some of the petitioner whoe live in TEXAS are the one who expirience it.

Yes. That "case inquiry form" was the signed release form...so she has that now along with a copy of my NOA2. I put the biodata and mentioned my concern about it going to the NRC on that form. In the body of the email I gave her a timeline of what has happened with my case so far (which she requested).

She was very knowledgeable on the whole I-130 process which surprised me. When I was explaining my situation to her, she knew exactly what should be happening throughout the process.

She said she's going to start by calling the Newark office and see what they can tell her about what happened after they approved my case and then go from there. She said that office can be a little slow in getting back to her so it might be a few days before she knows something.

we have the same situation.. feb 22-noa2,march 19 sent to NRC instead NVC..we seek a lot of help.. may 13 transfered to houston local office.. 3 infopass made.. second is may 29 info pass.. june 3 receieved the nvc.. june 7 received case number..

I have a question. Are you guys going to send the old or new I-864 form? We prepared both but we're planning to send the old form tomorrow because of the issue on reviewing the new forms. Any thoughts on sending the old form about a week or so before June 23 (when it expires)? Thanks!
