My wife had her interview on May 14 2013 in Manila, they have told her she has been approved, no additional documents needed. And to wait for her passport/visa to be delivered to her house.

Over 2 weeks has gone by and case is still under "Administrative Processing"

I'm getting worried, Is this wait normal? HElp please

Even though they may give the all clear at the interview there is still technically one last check and approval done after the interview. Generally it doesn't take long but has been known to take a couple of weeks. If you haven't heard anything in 30 days you should definitely check back with the Embassy.

Is this specific to the CR1 or is it for every single visa from there?

ya, i also wonder if this is only for CR1 since they are immigrants already.. or if this also happens to K1s.. coz I just thought that if this happens to K1s as well, then this might also "cause" a delay to some couple's flight.. esp if the petitioner goes here then expect that the visa will arrive in like few days then suddenly placed on AP, bam! that would really cause some delays and more expenses... coz normally, the visa is ready in few days (esp for k1s) or weeks if delivered in far places... but if placed on AP, then hummm.. no wonder why they always say not to book for a flight yet..and that the visa will be ready bet 3 to 30 days.. probably because some visas were put under AP... let's hope that everyone gets the visa a head of time and not be put on AP..

it doesn't mean that you are "approved" your visa will be delivered right away... OP's wife was told that she was "approved" but suddenly, now they are on AP

Administrative Processing can happen with the K-1 (or any visa) the same as with CR-1. During the review of the packet after the interview something was found that needs to be clarified, until that issue is corrected the file will sit in AP which can be a few days or a month or more.

There is no "normal" delivery time for the K-1 or any visa, yes there have been a fair number delivered in 3-4 days but that means little. For my wife it was two weeks.

It can be frustrating I know. This is why they tell you never to make travel plans until the visa is in hand. I was lucky in that I just moved to Manila and stayed with my wife until the visa was prepared. The AP really is anything from a day or two all the way to months. If I was to place money on what causes most cases to be looked at a bit deeper post-interview it would be the Affidavit of Support.

My wife has called the U.S embassy of Manila, The lady on the phone told my wife that her visa is NOT noted in their system (they probably forgot about my wifes' VISA) so the lady told my wife that she will Email the consul and to have my wife call back on tues/wed for an update.

If it's not 1 thing, it's another ! , come on!!

please call the DoS Hotline on Monday, when they are open. Get some status from them, also - it'll 'double-bounce' the data coming in from any Manila call center, and is just as accurate.
