How can somebody here in the US get a greencard if they are here on a work visa, but is not interested in marriage to a USC? Is there a way, or a path for them if they work 6-8 months out of the year here anyways?

There is no green card you can get based on length of work (despite what people sometimes think). Only option is to find an employer willing to petition you for an employment based green card or try DV visa lottery (if it still exists next year).

If family based immigration is not for you (marriage to a USC), then an employer based green card is probay your only choice. Talk to your US employer.

Im a USC, im asking for a friend that works here all the time.. Thank u for answering :)

From your other thread it wounds like she comes for summer work on a J-1. She would need to find full time employment and sponsorship and seek an H1B, and she needs to have at least a bachelor degree. There is a path from H1B to a GC (and a couple others, but H1B is a place to start looking).

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
