Hi I got our NO2 on April 18th and I've called nvc but they still have not received out case. Is anyone else having to wait this long? I can't imagine having my case being lost again! It took over a year and a half for us to get our I-130 approved. Is there anything else I can do to find out where my case is?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hi.. We have the same case. We got our NOA2 last March 27 but until now our case is not yet at the NVC. My husband called the USCIS and they said it's out of their hands now and it can take 90 days to get to NVC. My husband emailed the NVC and said they will contact USCIS on our behalf..

By the way, what service center is your case now? Mine is National Benefits Center. We are worried our case got lost or something but I guess we have to wait. It has been 2 months since we got approved though.

We were approved on March 28th and out files got to NVC on May 13th.

Call USCIS, contact your congressperson, etc

Maybe they're using Mule packs due to budget cuts.

Hi.. Wow you are so lucky. Mine got approved March 27 and until now my case isn't yet at NVC and I noticed your service center is the same as mine, National Benefits Center..

I'm hoping mine is on the way soon..Ugh...:(

Hi our case went from the California service center to a field office in los Angeles during that move our case was lost for 4 months!!! This is why I'm worried it got lost again! I called nvc again and they told me to email a copy of my no2 and hopefully get a response as to where my case is at.

Yes they told my husband the same thing. NVC said to email a copy of NOA2 because they said it's not in their system. That's what Im worried too if they lost it or something. But this morning my husband talked to an officer at USCIS and he was told that it can take 90 days for the case to get to NVC after the NOA.. So, it's been 2 months now since we got the approval.

By the way you mentioned your case got lost. So this is your second time filing a petition after that lost?

Yes, they told the same thing to my husband when he called NVC that he needs to send the copy of NOA2 coz they said its not yet in their system.. Thats why Im worried coz maybe it got lost or something but this morning my husband called USCIS to know where is our case but they said it's out of their hands and it can take 90 days to get to NVC. By the way, you said your case got lost? So, did you file for another petition? Are there really cases like these? Lost as in gone??

Basically it was at the California service center and from there it was transferred to Los Angeles field office. Once it was in the field office I found out it had been "misfiled" and was sent to storage. I had to keep calling and doing infopass es until they finally pulled it out of storage. But it took them 4 months to fix their mistake. We finally got our no2 and I thought it would be smooth sailing now :/ I'm emailing them our no2 today. Let me know how ur case goes.
