Hi VJ members I am asking these question to anyone who've recently completed packet 4 and had their interview done or anyone with the correct answers. My questions are:

1) Should I print the attachment that was send to me in an email or will i receive it at the post office?

2) What is the cost per vaccine at any of the locations where the medical is to be done?

Yes you will need a copy of your interview letter for each adult and for each child.

Other embassies may not require vaccinations, but JA does. Required number of vaccinations vary according to the age of the person, and proof of shot record. My husband got three shots but he is an adult and it cost him about 8,000 JA, not including the 10,000 for the medical appt.

Here is the link to the page with the table that explains what vaccinations you will need. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the table.

Thanks very much Pinkrlion for responding now you gave me an idea of what charges to expect so we can prepare ourselves for the additional vaccine charges at an estimated calculation. Do you know anything about handling packet 4? I greatly appreciate your responses whenever i post.

Depending how long before your appt. and where the person resides

they can get some vaccines at the health center for a smaller fee.

My fiance had his medical on the 16th and interview on the 28th of this month. He had 3 vaccines totaling a little over $8,000 JA. (left the receipt in JA so will be posting exact amounts eventually). The medical was done at MoBay Hope. The exam was a little over $11,000 JA. We never received packet 3 or 4. The embassy sent us packet 4 via email (they just typed the text of the appointment letter in the body of the email and not as a separate attachment). Needless to say, both the Medical and Embassy accepted the email print out. They specifically looked at the letter to confirm appointment date/time and case# information.

if you received something via email for the packet 4 - expect no postal mail mirroring what you received via email.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
