Just trying to get an IDEA on how much to expect to pay for this? I except the final package to weight about 3-4lb (lots of proofs!) I want to ship the documents FAST and RELIABLE and was wondering how much I can expect (roughly) to pay?

3-4 days is fine, I don't need express priority, etc...

anyone have a rough range that would probably be accurate? :-P

3-4 lbs!? Really? Evidence of an ongoing relationship: the embassy likes a few pictures together (of course), a SAMPLING of emails/chat logs (Skype/Yahoo, etc) = a page or two from each month... no one at the embassy is going to "read a book", a copy of the engagement ring receipt may be nice.

Copy of your divorce decree if you have been married before.

You need the I-134 with a copy of your most recent tax return (not years of returns) W2, pay stubs. If you income meets or exceeds the Poverty Guidelines you don't need to list anything else on the I-134. Read the instructions for the I-134.

Everything required is listed in the instructions letter. Embassy Instructions Letter for K-1

The thing that will make a difference is how well your fiancée knows you and about your life, that she speaks with confidence when asked questions. The embassy is simply looking for proof of a genuine relationship, with no fraud.... that's it.

Yeah I was overdoing it in my estimate, LOL it will probably be 1lb or so....cheapest I can find it about $98 for 1LB via UPS using UPS LETTER and about $142-$147 if I need to use a BOX...

Is that typical? What have you guys paid to ship this package to the PH, I just want to make sure this is reasonable for this package....wow it's way more than I expected...ugh, more delays....

I sent ours in January to Bohol. Cost was $130 for about 4 pounds via Fed Ex. It seems you do not save much by shaving a few pounds off as I pulled some items out and thought I would just scan and send. The lady at the counter said it is almost a flat rate due to the size of the documents being sent that weight does not save much. It was like $13 when I pulled out my docs. I said heck with it and sent it all... Don't forget to add a phone card in so she can contact you when she hits her POE. I did not do this and waiting drove me crazy................................. Good luck...

I used LBC to send and receive documents from my wife in Cebu. I'm located in California. It cost $40.00 and arrived in 3 days. I use LBC for all of my shipping and delivery needs to the Philippines. They have a great balikbayan box service too.

hi cleverest,

i just sent a document weighing .50 kilo and i paid P1436. Maybe this could help you estimate fr your documents.

"LOVE is a journey. We walk through life, found each other along the way and stayed inlove. And the best thing is being MARRIED to the person you love and accepting that the future will unfold itself while the two of you still bonded by the same word everybody called LOVE. A love that says "Let God be God"

It sounds like he used LBC. That's how much I paid for approximately a 1/2 pound of documents.
