What makes one a feminist, to you?

To me? I am a feminist. I am also a liberal. I believe women are capable of doing anything.

Phony feminists (I guess I should be specific) think women cannot learn, be independent, survive without men, make choices on their own, or even do things like feed their own children lunch and handle such things as their own birth control.

I have always had the ability to make choices and make them a reality. I have lived in 4 different countries and learned to speak 3 languages to do it. Alla (a woman in case you did not notice) speaks four languages, teaches two of them and moved herself and her children halfway round the world and they excelled in doing it because she made that choice.

You are telling me a woman cannot leave one house and go to another in the same country? Which woman?

That is insulting and offensive. Condescending at the very least.

I can hardly believe a feminist would disagree with ME rather than you.

I made sure to make the statement to cover men and women as I don't see this as a male/female thing so much as a dominate/dominated thing.

But yes, the women in these situations can learn! Of course, they're quite capable creatures. So lets help them get out of these situations so we can teach them how to respect themselves. Then next time, they'll know the warning signs before they get trapped. Maybe you can lend them some wisdom at the women's shelter?

I don't think they are always cowards, I think a lot of times they make an economic decision. But it is a choice nevertheless and I am pro-choice. I am also pro-stupidity and believe in everyone's right to be stupid at their own expense. I really am a very liberal, open minded guy.

I think we need to give people more choices.
