Saying "just leave" makes it sound far, far easier than it actually is. If it was that simple, everyone would do it.

Sometimes people need help due to different situations. Being berated over years without any positive voices or support in ones life can easily lead to a lack of confidence in men or women. It's unfair to compare their lives/mentality to yours. You clearly have lots of confidence and wouldn't abide bad treatment. Can you honestly say you've always had the strength to remove yourself from bad situations with 100% conviction at all points of your life? Or have you built this strength over the years through learning and conditioning

Can you imagine some poor slob , who wants a baby and the woman does not. He keeps trying to talk her into, they have an argument about it, then he comes home one day and the Po PO is waiting on him, warrant for domestic abuse.

As bizarre as that sounds in today's world it would not surprise me.

I know a man charged with a DV for actually locking himself in the bathroom and then jumping out the window to escape. Since he broke the screen when fleeing her assault he was charged with a domestic violence. (Damage to property)

It was a friend of mine and I didn't believe what he said, I thought that it was BS, so he showed me the police report. It stated exactly what he claimed. He took a plea agreement for 1 year of DV counseling because he couldn't afford the attorney.

There are idiots abusing their significant others and they should be charged...but they've went overboard in this area of the law IMO. Now everything is a DV, which diminishes the actual acts of DV from being fully addressed, prosecuted and treated.

I have always had the ability to make choices and make them a reality. I have lived in 4 different countries and learned to speak 3 languages to do it. Alla (a woman in case you did not notice) speaks four languages, teaches two of them and moved herself and her children halfway round the world and they excelled in doing it because she made that choice.

You are telling me a woman cannot leave one house and go to another in the same country? Which woman?
