Hey everyone, I found out some troubling news today. My case was already approved by USCIS and sent to NVC. I had already paid the i-864 fee and visa application fee and sent in the i-864 package. And now I just found out that my case was sent back to USCIS for further review. I called USCIS and NVC and they both said that they didn't know why this has happened. USCIS told me to wait 120 days before checking in with them again.

I've seen some posts here on VJ from people that this has happened to before but I haven't seen the results of what happened after USCIS took the case back for review. Is there anything I can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone, just an update: no news yet. My case is still at USCIS for "further review". My case has been back at USCIS for 4 months now. I called them yesterday and they told me that my case is still at USCIS. I am writing now because I wanted to know if someone else is in a similar situation and if anyone has any idea about how much longer I should expect to wait. Is there any place where I can check the processing time for cases that have been returned for further review? My case is at the California Service Center.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
