I am filing the I-129F for my fiancees K1 Visa. I got to question 11, which is "Have you ever filed for this or any other alien fiancee or husband/wife before. If Yes give name of all aliens, place and date of filing. A# and result. I have had a previous wife that I filed for 15 years ago on a K1 and was approved. I do not know the exact date of filing and do not have an A#. I called the help line as USCIS and they informed me that I could not get this through the hot line. The lady on the phone told me that I could give my best estimate but am worried this might complicate the process if not exact. Anyone had this issue before? Any advice?

just answer some part that u know then write them a letter explaining that you can't remember any information about your previews petition.

I had the same situation and I just did an attached sheet for that question . I just gave a short answer that I did not know the exact date , but gave the month and year on which I thought it was . I doubt the exact date will cause any problems as you are being honest in the question and informing them that Yes you did file before just unclear on the dates .

Estimate the date and put Unknown for the A#.
