Can someone please add me in Case Completed in May?

You can do that yourself in the July Interview thread. This is a thread in the Canada forum specifically asking about the US consulate in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. :)

Hey everyone,

I'm not sure I'm asking this question in the correct place but here it goes.

Please don't judge me as what I'm about to say is very hard on me emotionally and the choices I've had to make were not easy.

My interview I for July, I have been anxious, excited, and also scared. I've been reading up a lot on the types of questions they ask during the interview and my main concern is in regards to my 2 children that will not be accompanying into the United States. They currently live with their father. He is not to be around mine and my husbands daughter due to safety concerns, also concerns involving my safely. With that being said would this be an issue at my interview? Would I be looked down upon for this. Surely I could explain why things are the way they are but it would be a lengthly explanation.

I hope for them to someday decide on their own to join me.

Any advise or insight on this would be extremely appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Others have made the same decision for their own reasons. I don’t feel that it will come up, but if it does I would just say they are currently living with their dad and maybe when they are older they may decide to join me and I can petition them then.

Good luck in your interview. :)

Is this specific to Canada? My case was completed on May 10 and I'm still waiting for an interview date. Hopefully we'll find out next week.

Hi,

I just wanna ask if you get visa interview date for july? Hope u dont mind me asking?

I still don't understand why, if you happened to file the new 864, and are in canada, why not just send another email with the old one?

New one already causing issues, so idk what more it could cause.

My daughter decided to stay with her father. They didn't ask a single question about her even when I mentioned she was at the wedding.

The main thing, IMHO, when talking to CBP or when you do your interview is answer the questions they ask. Don't babble on needlessly about anything that comes to mind. "was his family at the wedding?" "No" "why not?" "because of this and this reason... " etc...
