Why are those people making it so hard? I heard they will even ask for the birth certificate of the fiance (petitioner) ?

Would photocopy of the passport be sufficient? Typical Philippine gov't red tape. Instead of helping the people, they make it hard and complicated.

They have to have the original passport so they can place the CFO certificate inside so when she goes through immigration they will see that she has attended. If not then she will not be leaving the Philippines.

They don't check but they do random calls to check in with the immigrant to see how they are doing. Yes, you could give a bogus phone number but what is it you have to hide. mmmmmm!

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
