AVG antivirus

Hi all Vjers using AVG

I have the free version of AVG, since past three weeks or so i get a message thats its gonna expire and would have to pay for the new version, anybody out there gettting similar message

Any other free antivirus available off the net.. please advise i dont want to run w/o it

I think its just there in my mind

Any suggestions are welcome

Yeah, I posted something about this yesterday. AVG is offering 7.5 version free, according to the posts.

Go to the AVG website... they are discontinuing V7.1 but have a new version V7.5 which will still be free

No download the newest version, and install it, when it get to the part of installation where it gives you the choose to repair your installation, choose repair option. Been there, done that.

Update of AVG 7.1 to 7.5

1. Run the AVG Free Edition 7.5 Setup program
   
2. Click "Next >" on the AVG "Welcome!" screen
   
3. Click "Accept" on the "License Agreement on Use of an AVG Free Edition" screen
   
4. Select "Repair installation" on the "Select Setup Type" screen and click "Next >"
   
5. Select "Restart the computer now" (pre-selected by the program automatically) and click "OK" on the "Installation Complete!" screen to restart your computer and complete the installation
