Hi! I am wondering how long it takes to get my packet or whatever it is that will be sent to me by the US Embassy Manila. I'm a bit confused. I've already set my interview appointment for July 3 and I'm wondering if I need the documents they will send before my interview. I've read in some posts that it is not necessary to wait for their mail. Upon checking my case status online, it says that my case is READY for interview appointment. Pls advise. Thank you.

I don't think you need that letter or waiting. Just prepare for the interview, have all the document your finance sent to you and every other prove to show to OP...It is well...good news awaits you!

USEM has stopped sending the packet to the beneficiary for years now. You do not need to send anything to the consulate, all required documents should be with you at the time of the interview.

Here's the link for instructions

I just messaged the USEM regarding the packet as I am waiting for mine also and they said that they did send me a packet with an IMBRA pamphlet. Additional to that they also said and I am quoting "You need not wait for the hard copy of our interview notification letter and may visit this website: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph or contact the Embassy’s Visa Information and Appointment Service at (632) 982-5555 or (632) 902-8930 to schedule a visa interview appointment."

In other words, you really don't need the packet. good.gif All the forms and the packet/interview instruction can all be downloaded in their site :) Like what the previous poster said just prepare the docs :)

No need to wait for the letter! Although I surprisingly got the letter from the embassy 5 days before my scheduled interview ( I was done with the medical weeks before). It just made me not worry about them throwing me out of the embassy. :P It's not a requirement. :)
