Hi guys!

I will be having a traditional wedding but some says that Catholic priests do not officiate the full traditional wedding outside the church..

Is this true? Because we will be having a Traditional wedding in a ranch country club..

If so, what are my options to have a wedding in Catholic ceremony and doing it on a Ranch..

Anyone living near in Anaheim, Cypress Ca place?

Where are the church and chapel that having priests.

Thanks in Advance!

♥♥God gave you to me. I asked Him why, He said, “Because he can fill your life like no one else can.” ♥♥I love you and I really miss you so much luv!♥♥Hope to be with you soon and have a happy family!♥♥

Moved from K-1 process to moving here and your new life in america as this is not a question about the K-1 process or procedures. It is a question about how to get married in the USA.

I was told by my church that you cannot have a catholic wedding anywhere but a church. Why don't you look into having the wedding at a nearby church and the reception on the ranch? That's what were hoping to do... we wanted to have a barn wedding so were going to get married at the church and have the wedding reception at the barn.

The Roman Catholic Church will not preform a wedding other than in church. An outside wedding is not sanctioned. There are also two types of ceremonies. One is the Full Mass with the Eucharist and priest and then there is the one without the Eucharist and/or deacon but both have to be inside the Church. What I am not sure of is if it can be performed on church grounds. It can for instance be done in the Chapel.

A "traditional" wedding cannot be done at a ranch country club. Not by a Roman Catholic Priest, nor Deaconate. Remember any church can call themselves Catholic or for that matter Roman Catholic but if they are not sanctioned by Rome its not the Church.

There are no options to have a wedding in a Catholic ceremony and doing it on a Ranch unless its not truly Catholic.

You can get an officiant from another denomination to preside over it, but a traditional Catholic wedding is never outside a church, as stated.
