Hello,

I just found this forum, so first my apologies if I am posting on the wrong place or there are replies to my question already, I checked but I could not find any.

My fingerprints appt was scheduled to be done in the Milwaukee office on April 12th, not being able to go as I was going to be out of the State, the next day of receiving the appt letter, I followed the instructions and I sent the petition to reschedule that was delivered on April 4th. I was aware that a delay in the process would be possible, but after waiting for weeks I decided to call the 1 800 number and asked. I basically was told, there was no time frame and just keep waiting.

I was hoping to get a bit more help here, if some of you had to do the same.

I keep checking the status, and nothing has been changed. Oh! in the meantime I received a letter telling me what documents to bring to the interview, so I assume the process continues.

Thanks!

Unfortunately when rescheduling you are at their mercy. Can be only a few weeks or months for them to re-book you. Ideally you should have taken the notice and gone to the ASC center early or to the one in the state you would be in and have the biometrics done.

Generally the process does not continue until you have taken biometrics. But that also depends on when your last biometrics was taken.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Thank you for your reply, I was not aware you could try to go early or to another center to get it done. I live almost 4 hrs away of the Milwaukee office, I don't know I would have tried even knowing, having to miss work with the chance to be turned away.

The person that talked to me on the phone, said I could start a claim when the time is over the estimated for my assigned office. For me the whole things was supposed to be done in about 5/6 months, now we'll see.

Thanks again.

I would normally say attempt a drop-in but four hours is a long way especially if you don't know that they'll take you. I wish you luck.

Thank you! It's not that I am in a hurry or panic mode (yet), just that it would be nice to have at least some approximate timeline, like the general for the whole process. My bad luck that the appt had to be scheduled for one of the couple days in this whole year, I was not able to make it. Oh well in the meanwhile I'll congratulate those of you that are finished. smile.png
