Wow, that's because they don't have to process Dec and January (TSC jurisdiction now).. Sad Sad Sad..Shame on you VSC

So I just checked the processing times and looks like Vermont has been updated to 5 months for I-129Fs instead of October 15, 2012!

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

Since it changed to 5 months I put in a service request and it went through. Hopefully that does something good! At the very least when we call now they can't say October 15, 2012 still.

They transferred files so they could get to the 5 month goal. Now they are within their time frame, so no need to adjunct any I-129f until late july to keep that goal. Probably doing a lot of DACA to keep President happy. Us leftovers are left for dead at VSC. At least you guys transferred are seeing some files approved. Only one VJr approved from VSC this week and it was to approve a REF. The backlog continues!

Oh noooo more bad news

It seems after we get approved we now have to wait longer for the case number at the nvc

Will this waiting ever end!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's still a couple of months to this journey after you receive NOA2. First it takes a week or 2 weeks to get to NVC. Then if they have no issues with it, NVC will send it to the consulate after a few days. Shipping it takes a few days. Then once the consulate receives it, they have to enter it into their system before sending out package 3 and scheduling an interview.

The process at the consulate can differ from country to country, but getting the files from USCIS to NVC to the consulate is fairly standard. Some couples have had a delay with USCIS sending the file to NVC.

In the meantime, everyone that is expecting approvals soon can check out their country specific portal and start getting the paperwork for the consulate in order.

Yes, waiting never ends. If we get approved, then up to 1 month waiting for NVC. Then 2 week wait for file to get to embassy. Then up to 4 week ( much longer at some embassy) wait for visa interview. If approved, then embassy send passport with visa to fiancé which can take a week.

Thank you for sharing that personal story with us...it is awful being separated from our loved ones.

My fiance never got to meet my father, as my Dad passed away 3 years ago, and i so wanted my Dad to walk me down the aisle and see me happy and be married. This thing makes me very sad.

I know in my heart that my Dad will be there with us when we are married and he will be happy and i will feel him with us on our special day when that time comes.

Just wanted to chime in with your personal story Jeannie&Al...

May GOD bless you and all of us here in visa journey.

Thank you so much ACAwan for your beautiful post and sharing your heartbreak. I'm so sorry for the loss of your dad sad.png and that he won't be there with you on your wedding day -- we know we are blessed that my fiance at least got to meet my Dad the one time and that others aren't as fortunate..but you are right, your dad will be there with you in spirit I am sure. May God bless you and yours as well smile.png

We all need to vent every now and then. I'm sorry to hear about your dad - I hope things get better soon and that you'll get your approval soon too!

My info is just a theory, but from an organizational standpoint it makes sense to me that they would do it that way. I remember one of the posts with a Q&A from a former USCIS adjudicator indicated they do boxes at a time too. Hopefully, though, within those boxes they go in order, but I suppose there's nothing to stop them from not going in order.

The distance and time apart really does suck. I'm just trying to stay as positive as I can because my fiancee is having a harder time dealing with it than I am. The recent wave of approvals has me hopeful again that approvals/RFEs will come soon (yes, I'd even take an RFE right now). If VJ is ~6-7% of the total and we had 6 last night it bodes well.

thanks so much h_m - I appreciate that smile.png you never know but we will remain hopeful and keep the faith even though things are not looking good...

Your theory makes sense - I wonder if it's the same Q & A I read...i remember them saying they generally approve more than the 12 per day quota that the article posted recently claimed but it was from a few years ago...

Jeannie & Al,

I agree that some of these adjudicators are likely working on the ones they are more familiar with first. But let me also say that I was fully expecting an RFE and didn't get one. I sent a thumb drive with my petition that had pictures, Facebook Timeline, and other supporting evidence. This was before I came across VJ. USCIS returned the thumb drive b/c they only accept papers (even though they scan them and create electronic copies anyway). So my approval came with the bare minimum of evidence and could have easily warranted a RFE. I think there is a lot of pressure on all of the service centers to get approvals out, especially with the millions of new cases that will come once the immigration bill passes.

Also, you can always call USCIS and request expedited processing and cite your fathers health. There are several categories for expedite and you may be able to convince them. I tried but was denied, but I don't think it hurts or slows down the processing of your case. I think the director of the service center is responsible for approving/disapproving expedite requests so it shouldn't interfere with the adjudicator working on your case.

thanks for the info jds smile.png I wrote to our attorney today to make sure we are ready when we do get an approval and my fiance is doing what he needs to do to see his NHS doc ahead of time etc and one of the questions I have for the attorney is about the expedited catergories and if this would help.

I keep hoping for some....I filed a service request today and am going to an infopass appointment tomorrow. I also faxed my congressman and will fax requests to my senators tomorrow. This is getting ridiculous. VCS at 5 months now while we are forgotten.

So... anyone know of any TSC approvals today? It doesn't seem like there were any...
