Im at the six month mark. Guys I have a question.. I havent been on VJ for quite a while now. If your case is with an adjudicator based off of our approvals.. how long will it take for us to hear an approval? I know they said 30-45 days.. but we have been getting pretty good numbers lately..

Good morning every. I also got an approval email last night (~10:15). Checked just now on the USCIS website to confirm and indeed my case was approved!!! NOA1 of Dec 20th. I know many of you on this thread filed before me so its somewhat bittersweet, but I really couldn't be happier right now! It'll be 6 months to the day on Thursday, hopefully not too much longer.

Congrats - so happy for you! :)

I want to give some hope for people whose cases were transferred to Texas.

Our petition was accepted on 7 jan, 2013 (Vermont) and on 25 May we received a letter that our petition was transferred to Texas (as all you guys received), that made us upset because it seemed we would wait indefinitely.

My fiance wrote to his congressman about one week ago and got an answer that if we wouldnt have any result during 45 days then we should call him again.

so, 17 june our case was approved

i am incredibly happy and wish all you guys to get your approvments soon!

thanks for sharing that!

I was totally calm and patient before this last week - I guess because in my head I would be hoping to hear by now before we knew of the Vermont delays. hopefully all Dec/Jan get approved soon whether they were transferred or not. :)

Thought I'd share this service letter request I got from the USCIS yesterday, though it doesn't say anything new that we don't already know. For some reason they claim I was checking in on it because I believe it wasn't being processed on time. I told the service rep that I was looking for some kind of processing time now that they were moved to Texas, but hey i got a letter. Damn thing made my heart jump when i thought it was a hardcopy approval tongue.png

That's the most frustrating thing I get when talking to customer service - they say they're working on October 15th, but (1) we know Vermont is beyond that, and (2) Texas doesn't have any I-129Fs prior to December and January 2012! They can't even give an estimated time frame for the transferred cases.

Anyway, the recent approvals are giving me hope! Fingers crossed :)

Congrats guys...I don't understand! My date is Dec4th I guess they really do use a random algorithm...

Yes, from looking at the TSC approvals, it seems that they're not doing them in any particular order. I guess they decided that since it's only a month and half of petitions, they just randomly dropped off stacks of them before the adjudicators and they're just processing them all in no particular order, just whatever one they happen to grab.

I'm sorry I don't know the answer but hopefully someone else will know :)

i do have a question though - how do you know if your case is even with an adjudicator? I haven't registered for the updates because I believe my attorney is registered as a rep but I'd like to register myself..is that how people can tell their file was "touched" like I see people reference?

While the approvals from VJ members don't follow any logical order, I'm guess that when the cases first arrived in Texas, they were split up into stacks and each adjudicator took a stack. I don't know if the stacks went in order based on receipt number or if each stack spanned the entire transferred range and had a selection of cases from Dec-Jan. Either way, a lot depends on how quick your particular adjudicator works, what other types of cases (and how complex they are) are in your stack as well as many other factors. I checked a range of about 200 cases before and after my receipt number and I was the only I-129f in there. The rest were all DACAs, some employment petitions, and visa extensions. I'm guessing the adjudicator assigned to my stack breezed through those and was able to get to my I-129f from Dec 20th faster, while others were assigned more complex petitions that take longer to process. That's just my gut feeling. TSC seems to be kicking it into high gear and I really think everyone will receive notice soon.
