EAC 99 001 50001

EAC represents the office location where initially received into the electronic system. In the example, EAC indicates St. Albans. Cases that are received at another Service Center but processed at the NSC will generally carry the originating office number.

EAC = St. Albans, Vermont or Vermont Service Center

SRC= Dallas, Texas or Texas Service Center

WAC= Laguna Niguel, California or California Service Center

99 represents the fiscal year in which the case was received.

001 represents the computer workday in the fiscal year on which the fee was taken. Generally 001 is October 1st, the first working day of the fiscal year. 265 generally is a computer work day in September. This is NOT truly a julian date because no “computer work day” exists if the center does not receipt cases on any particular date, e.g. most Saturday’s, all Sunday’s and holidays.

50001 represents the particular case number. In this case, it is the first case received in CLAIMS3 LAN on that particular workday.

My number doesn't seem to fit your equation my dear but I think I agree ther s not arm .. But you will agree no one has found any rhym or reason .... Why s it then someone from dec 17 has been approved .... And I file on dec 5 th ... I am not approved. I was told by my senator offic that they get them in batches so tat puts a wrench in it too ....

i was just simply stating that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the approvals and it seems that trying to make sense of the numbers is just confusing more people and really just giving the last 3 digits of the number really doesnt help anyone in determining anything.

Angelina, i do agree with you that the approvals are not in any specific order, thats why i said that we should just focus on getting approvals, no matter how they come.

Sorry if i offended anyone with my opinion and just for the record this is an open forum where we can state our opinions, and i dont think that people need to criticize anyone for stating their own opinions. Thats why we have a Constitution!

Angelina thanks for all of your hard work with your representatives in your state and trying to get us answers, it is much appreciated. and i agree with the other person that you should get your approval next.

my last four digits are 5073 and receipt date was 12/17/2012 but still waiting. Common sense will say they use FIFO inventory system but it looks like they are not.

Now this makes sense...I am a few days after yours and my case number is a little higher than yours...

No offense taken! :) It just struck me odd that someone would want to stop any discussion on something relative to our cases...no harm no foul...I already have a thread and think I should take the sleuthing there. Well wishing is great and does keep up the spirits, so please continue...I dont want to offend anyone either...:)

Good luck everyone!!!

Hi Guys !

I am new to this forum yet I have been following this thread religiously !! smile.png

You guys are awesome ! Thank you each and every person on this forum for sharing priceless information about K1 visa.

I am also a December 2012 filer and I sent my file to Vermont. I have a NOA1 date of 12/18/12 (around the same time frame as most of you).

I have been patiently waiting for our approval as well. It is amazing yet sad to see most of us are on the same boat.

I have been praying for all of us to get an approval soon !

Just wanted to extend my sincere thanks to all you Vj members for doing an amazing job at keeping us up to date with valuable information.

May God be with all of us and all of us would get approval soon !! dancin5hr.gif

Now this makes sense...I am a few days after yours and my case number is a little higher than yours...

So my receipt date was a month later (1/18) with my last four digits of 9134. does that mean there are over 4,000 that were receipted in that month ahead of me? yikes. :(

I'm new here and read another thread where someone had gotten some questions answered from a Director in Vermont a few years back with some interesting info:

So what about some people get approved ahead of others? Sme petitions have problems or delays, we do not hold back others for this. If an adjudicator has problems, he puts that one aside or sends an RFE and goes on to the next. The next one may be clean and gets approved right away, in just a few minutes, they adjudicate 15-20 petitions a day per person, and the ones with problems may wait weeks for the petitioner to respond to the RFE, or maybe it is a name check they are waiting for. Petitions are assigned as they arrive, when we are working on those petitions, but they do not go out the door in the same order they came in.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/220499-k-1-petition-information/

If they were averaging 15-20 per person per day, anyone know in general how many people work on I-129f's in these offices on average? i realize Texas just started handling these -- just curious if anyone knew about how many people were on these at Vermont or CA?

No offense taken .... My last four digits are 7913 received on dec 5 .... So does that mean there are over 7000 before me? 7000 cases were sent to tsc ... Just trying to understand my number

For example Kari81 has a receipt number lower than me but she file later .... I'm confused

That's really interesting... my NOA1 date is December 12th, so a week before yours, and yet my receipt number is more than 300 after yours... How is that possible? I thought that cases were assigned a number in the order they were received, but this sheds some light on one reason they are not being approved in order. Anyway, congrats again and thanks for all the info. Very helpful!

I agree my petition was received before but my number is higher!
