Hi all - I'm new to this site. What a great site - seems like a ton of people with a lot more knowledge to how to get info. smile.png We have an attorney but I'm wondering if we should also contact our Senator or Congressman...this delay has been super depressing as it is for everyone - it's nice to know we aren't alone. smile.png

btw - Azsara, KathaK, Valia and Serghei - we are also another NJ couple smile.png I'm not sure what exact date to go by but our receipt date was 1/18/13 and the notice date was 1/23...very similar to Azsara.

Hopefully everyone gets approved soon. smile.png

Wow very similar to you, I however, was NOT transferred, so I guess I was right on the cusp of it then!

I personally am of the opinion that those transferred to Texas should update their timeline to reflect TSC being their service center, although some people disagree. Click on "Immigration Timelines" in the blue toolbar at the top of the page, then on the left hand side of the page that opens is a link in green that says "Edit / Add My Entry". Click that and fill out your timeline there.

thanks for the info jds - I will add my timeline there smile.png

Hey and welcome smile.png. This is a great community and everyone shares news which is great!! stay positive and yeahhhh NJ!! biggrin.png

thanks Katha smile.png I'm so glad I found this site - I'm an optimist by nature but this process has rocked me a few times. ohmy.png Sadly we should have started this a long time ago - twice we went for the H1B1 because he had job offers but didn't realize how few they were giving out..we were very naive to this process but we can't turn back now. just try to be positive - hope to see a lot of approvals coming through soon! smile.png

that's interesting that we are one day off - I wonder if that was the cutoff time. I just found this forum and started reading around today and yet my gut tells me it may have been better to stay in Vermont..hopefully we both get approved soon. smile.png

Hmmm so no news about any actual approvals? This is so frustrating, I want so badly to believe that there were approvals today!! No response to my service request today as I was told by the tier 2 rep 2 weeks ago. Looks like tomorrow afternoon will be wasted on hold and filling out release forms for senators, congressmen etc. Not what I wanted to do on my Friday afternoon, can't these guys just get it together!!?? Really hoping that actual approval notices roll out tonight, that would make me (and I think most of us) feel so much betttttttttter.

A couple of pages back Dustin and Janen posted saying their Senator's office informed them they had been approved. I think they said they have an NOA1 date of 12/17. No news on confirmation via USCIS (e-mail or text) though, I think.

I'm also NJ. Did you guys reach out to your Senator/Congressman?

I am debating whether they will be positively helpful or not at this point

I think Steve is going to contact his senator/congressman at the 5 month mark. Honestly we werent expecting an approval 'til July/august anyway but its kind of infuriating seeing people get approved in Feb and March. If we are all hassling the same senator/congressman of NJ he may just take us seriously!

I contacted them as soon as I heard about the transfer, so May 24th-ish.

BTW I still don't have confirmation of the approval from USCIS. I was hoping they would update their web site by now.

So, there maybe others that were approved today, but no notice sent out yet.

Hi Jessie.. I could help but notice your from NYC as me. I am happy you got someone a little more upbeat and was able to give you more details in the process. However, I was not one of those that got transfered but I am left behind at VSC. So either ways I am stuck in limbo like everyone. Ijust hope whatever your Tier2 told you..goes just like that,.without any further delays.dancin5hr.gif

Thank you...Actually although some of us were transferred we still have to use Vermont processing timeline so I am assuming it should be about the same time 6-7 months. I'll call back next week and try to get more information. It all depends on who you talk to really and whether they transfer you. I know it can be frustrating and depressing being away from your loved one. Me and my fiance are slowly becoming monsters...lol

I just called and spoke with someone at uscis and i was just told that I had to wait 30-45 days, if after that I have not heard anything I should call back. I don't know how anyone got any other information about their petitions other than that..

It really depends on who you talk to and whether the regular rep is willing to transfer you to Tier 2. From my understanding Tier 2 reps have more access to your case file and can directly or indirectly give you information. I got through to one and he told me about preparing for the next steps in the process. So I assumed everything is okay and I am just waiting for the notice. Others were directly told that there cases were nearing approval. Hope this helps. Call and say your case was transferred and you don't know where it is and you are worried because no one can tell you anything about your case and maybe you'll get transferred up to 2.

wow - so many NJ couples! smile.png hi there! I haven't yet..I was going to check in with my attorney on it and see what he thought..but even if i did, I'd probably wait a month or so..I think it's a bit early for my case.

Yea all of us that stayed are wishing we were transferred! Especially with VSC moving onto Feb and March...I guess the grass is always greener on the other side lol! Are u the US citizen or the Brit?

I think you are right on the grass is always greener! I don't understand how VSC is moving onto Feb and March and you weren't transferred and stil in Jan?

I am the US Citizen and he is the Brit. Same for you?

We have a family thing in mid August that we were really hoping he'd be here for..and he's an elementary school teacher so was really hoping he'd be here for a great job prospect for September too but I think we realized this week that it's just not looking so good for either...who knows, maybe we will get lucky. i think we need to prepare for it not happening though...

Congrats Dustin - hope you get your confirmation letter soon. It must have been so nice to make that call to your fiancee. :)
