I submitted a complaint/request through Ombudsman last night. I also schedule an appointment with my local field office for tomorrow morning. I'm not hoping to get specific answers about my case, I think we all know the current status of the cases (they're sitting collecting dust), but I want to use it as a method to explain what we've all gone through and see if I can get the attention of someone higher up the food chain. I'll let you all know how that goes.

Thanks! I hope it works out for you! Good luck..

I just sent an email to my congressman. Hopefully he gets back to me soon, and is able to give me some information. I will report back if he has any news.

I emailed my congresswoman, got an email back to come in to the office and bring in any documentation and also to sign a privacy waiver so they can look into it. Just emailing will get you nowhere as they're not allowed to do anything specific to your case until you sign the waiver.

Gonna go to her office tomorrow and speak with them and sign the waiver and we'll see what comes out of it. In any case, the more congresspeople we can get to look in on this, the faster it should get them moving IMO.

Well well. I just got off the phone with USCIS officer, not a customer service representative. He was very nice and jovial. He told me my application is in the final review and everything fine because I am not getting RFE so I should get something within a month if not I should I should call back again. This is reassuring information I have got so far. Let us hope he is right

That's good news. Hope that is true! When I called, they said that if i had a RFE, they would have sent it out before the transfer, while my petition was in Vermont. Good luck Kari~

That is bizarre, because usually when they look through a file, they determine then if it needs an RFE or if it is approved. There would be no sense on holding off on the approval just so they can send it to a different service center to do the formality of approving it.

LoveHope23, I was also at Vermont. Let us hope that they are not telling us this to make us feel better and stop calling them

To be honest with you Kari81, I feel like they are telling us to wait till the end of June, so that we DONT call them. I know how they roll, they just want to get rid of us. I'm starting to get really mad with this disorganization. So disorganized... they have our lives in their hands.. and its not funny :(

Yeah I think the rep was just BSing you. If they are going to go through the 8,000 files in VSC to look for RFEs before sending them out, then they might as well get them approved while they do so.

I agree. They seem to hate our phone calls. Last week when I called, the guy hung up the phone on me... when I asked him if we shouldnt go by the chart since its labeled from March. He was like "Ma'am, I cant answer your question, have a nice day."

I'm a CPA and having experience working with government workers (IRS), these folks don't really care. They do their job. They go home. They have virtual permanent employment. They're use to your calls. And to answer everyone's questions, they would have to stop processing someone's paperwork and go look up yours. Just like the IRS, the USA bureaucracy is antiquated, inefficient, understaffed, (under-worked for those who have jobs there)and don't give a rat's patootie about your personal problems. Petitions, politicians and bureaucrats act like they care but they really don't. No one does. You are just a number to them. So just face it: Be patient and the system will, albeit at a snail's pace, work.

We're on our own, i was so hopefull when we got transferred, and now i fell so hopeless. At least while our petition was in VSC we could keep following the timelines, now we don't know anything, bunch of useless information from all the sides that we contacted, time is passing by nothing has changed. VSC now probably has their goal at 5 months since they started processing february, and it's nobody's bussines what is TSC doing. Unfortunatelly, we were picked for the harder way to get with people we love. Each time I see notification on this website i expect someone got approved, but nothing. I hope that one day soon i will see an approval.

I have a hot update!!!!!

I just received a call from Senator Blumenthals office. Apparently our petitions arenina warehouse 30 miles a away and are in intransit to the Texas facility. He is the catch for some reason they can only be transferred 50 petitions at a time!!!! So this will take a week. By next week we will be assigned an adjudicator. Once in the adjudicators hands.. They have 30 days to process it....we could get approval or rife before then but they have 30 days. I told her this was an injustice as vsc filers from feb have been approved. She says that the senators office has put in a complaint to the main office in Washington, D.C.

I asked her if there was a way to confirm that I had an adjudicator assigned to me case and shen said yes. She wants me to call her Monday. She feels confident I will have an adjudicator then.

Sigh
