Do the field offices need training too??? I wonder........

But, in reality, of the cases that were transferred, how many total are going to go to each field office? Maybe a handful, more or less?

I just hope that this is a good thing.

Depends on the office I guess, you can see on USCIS site that at least the NYC field office has been processing them since February (probably transfers from CSC from when they had the huge backlog):

This happened to our case in 2010. The message that your petition was sent to a local office is very likely not true. Local offices do not adjudicate these petitions. The transfer to TSC in 2010 was not handled well -- hope they've improved since then!

Hi Norwood,

Where did your petition go to get approved? Did it stay at TSC even though they said it went to the local office?

Also how long did it take to get the NOA2 after your transfer?

I have to agree about the location of the transfers...I think they are using the term "local office" very loosely ...my congressman was told the location for all of the files is TSC. But time will tell...

What is going on?? I mean, we paid them a large sum of money and a lot more is coming... I feel like the least they could do is just tell us what the heck is going on, and be specific!

"another center"... "local office".... Grrrr....

The official notices better come in the mail soon.

When I saw my text about the touch today, I was confused because how could I have another one so fast, unless it was an approval?? I'm still confused as to whether this is really a new notification or not... I mean, the date is different and the wording slightly different, but I never had any information to believe that mine was going to the TSC for sure.

We met when Heather travelled to Egypt to be an au pair!

True, don't know what these ones at NYC office were then. Maybe VSC has been transferring some files to local offices for a while, just not in the mass transfer that they did this time.
