if its EAC followed by numbers that your receipt number used to check on your status...

If its an A followed by numbers then its Alien registration number

mine is an A #........isn't there a site that you can check the status of Alien #'s?

if your fiance didn't have an A# before and has one now if I'm not mistaken (I don't want to get peoples hopes up cause thats been happening a lot the past few weeks hopefully someone can either confirm this or say im wrong) but an A# usually means approval cant be far behind...

I stand corrected my timeline shows earlier... What does this mean ... Why has it changed earlier ???

Processing

Estimates/Stats : Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between May 29, 2013 and June 22, 2013*.

If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.

I don't mean to damped everyone spirits, but the Alien Registration number is one of the first things that happens after the NOA1. My NOA1 was Dec 20th, and I received an email in early January (can't remember the date but i think it was Jan 2nd) indicating USCIS had assigned an alien registration number to my case. I can't speak for everyone here, but I've had an alien registration number assigned for many months, I just didn't know what that number was until I received the transfer letter on Saturday.
