I have a question for you all. My fiancee has her appt with the embassy in Lima on Sept. 26. I am flying in a few days early to help her with everything even though I was told by the State Dept rep I may not be allowed in the interview. I want to make sure I have all the correct documents so our visit does not cause delays. here is what I have:

Form DS-156 Nonimmigrant Visa Application x 2 (2 copies)

Form DS-156K Nonimmigrant Fiancee Visa Application (1 copy)

Form 1-134 Affidavid of Support with 3 years W2, 2012's Tax Return, 3 Years Pay Stubs and a letter fo employment from my HR

Do I have everything currently required?

Thanks in advance.,..we are sooooo close now!!!

I think that sounds right. We are going through this part now as well, we are now looking at paying the Visa Application Fee for €193 and to make payment is not easy like with credit card. Everything is such a hassle at this point and we are frustrated but getting there.

I provided 3yrs taxes, letter from employer, paystubs since joining this new firm (4 months). I think showing taxes is much better than pay stubs so I didn't send any from my previous job.

Close but still no cigar.

Alexashe, you should call the national visa center. That's what I did after waiting 3 weeks to hear from them.

I did. They said my case is at additional processing. No timeframe. No other info has been provided.

What else???

Well I don't know what to think right now, it seems we could have some major issues in getting a Police Certificate. We were told it could be 4-6 months to get from Iran...I don't think it has sunk in yet...this just can't be right. If so, I don't know what to say

She has been living in Berlin for 8yrs..we were so close. If this turns out to be true, I don't even know what we will/can do...extended the petition that is sitting at the embassy in Frankfurt? I could cry

HI All,

Today I noticed on another persons timeline that there is a "Transferred" Field. So I checked and sure enough it's now a definable field in our Timelines!!!

I updated my Timeline to reflect this... I also removed the verbiage from the RFE field.

~ Jan ??,2013 ~ Service Center ~ Vermont I-129F Packet sent

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)

So we are waiting for the German Police certificate of all things, they screwed up (naturally) and we had to request it twice. Once it arrives, hopefully on Monday we will add it to the file and send it on to Frankfurt and wait for our interview date.

So what about the copy of the I-129F I sent her that is an exact copy of the original petition and papers submitted at the beginning, she takes that with her to the interview right?

I come here looking for some support, can someone please help us? This is killing us, what do we send tot he embassy, what do we take to the embassy?

The http://germany.usembassy.gov/visa/iv/step3/ website says

K-Visa Applicant

If your K-Visa petition has been approved, the following documents should be submitted immediately:

  • DS-156 (pdf - in duplicate)
  • DS-156K (pdf - do not sign form; you are required to sign it before a consular officer on the day of your interview)
  • DS-157 (pdf - for all male applicants between the ages of 16-45)
  • Copy of your passport data page
  • Then continue with step 4.

Ok, so when you go to step 4, you see the checklist

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/frankfurt/9318/consular_pdf/Instructions%20for%20Fiancee%20Visa%20Applicants.pdf

That checklist includes the exact same documents. So we did not do step 3, it makes no sense since step 4 includes those documents to be sent to the embassy.

Anyone who has completed this step, please let me know ASAP.

It's a shame so many don't provide feedback and keep this thread going. Our interview was fine, 45 minutes tops and they asked her more questions about her family than mine. Some questions were funny "Why did you not try to find a relationship here in Germany?", "When is the wedding?" haha

You can't answer a question if you are unsure when you will get your visa.

We filed on March 4th.2013 I-130.On 25th October the recept number comes out online initial review transfered to local USCIS office. Its not mentioned which office.

Already 7 months and 20 days waiting ,i dont know how come people are approved between 4-6 months.

Does the case will be approved faster if a local office is dealing now?

The guy that helped me to apply he mentioned 9 months to finish a whole process but it came out it could take a year.

USCIS customer service is bullshit ,every time you call different answer you get.

Does somebody applied around March,2013 and already got approved NOA2?

We can't speak to your situation, this thread is for those who filed an I-129F visa. I am unfamiliar with the I-130 visa
