Yes, my case did update online and I finally got a text message and email update from USCIS.

Keep calling...convince the person on the phone that your case is "outside of normal processing times" and that you would like to make an inquiry. That might help.

Im still waiting after my RFE response, they received mine 7/18. Im hoping for a quick approval like so many of the others have gotten....it surely has been a very long process....today is day 207 since they received our petition....

All, great news. Tonight I got notified that TSC sent my case to NVC.

NOA1: Feb 1

NOA2 (never actually received): July 6

Post-Decision Activity (sent to NVC): July 19.

We got an email & text today saying "On July 22, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."

We still never got an email, text or hard copy in the mail regarding our NOA2 (even though it was approved 8th July) but i don't really care anymore! At least our paperwork is on the move. I may just get the packet 3 info before I leave for the US on the 6th Sept! Fingers crossed!

It seems like the 5 month mark is dead on the money regarding time for processing etc. Those that are still waiting, be patient (says the most impatient person ever). Hang in there, they seem to be plugging through them now.

We received the same RFE on 7/3 , sent the reply to our lawyer , he sent it on july 15 , but till then we dont have notification that they received our RFE response.

I am worried that it might be lost by mail. Is there a possibility they received the documents and not updated in website , what do you think?

We called yesterday , but no usefull info.

How can i know that are not lost ?! we can`t track our documents as they were sent by lawyer as ordinary mail.

Oh , i will go crazy.

Next week it will be 8 months since NOA1.

And my fiance is soooo calm ... , he just repeats " everything will be fine ''. But it`s not.

Hi our file was transferred to Texas from Vermont on 21 June, our NOA 1 was 19 February, and we still have not recieved our NOA2 and the 5 months passed last Friday, we are extremely anxious as we have not heard anything yet, anyone else still waiting? or if anyone has any help for us as what to do next.

He's RIGHT... Everything already is okay.. lol it's already in the making or done. Trust that thought! Just relax and enjoy your time together...

Until even this VERY MOMENT the USCIS website and "last touched" date (if you sign in) is unchanged since the 15th. It still says Response Review but I received the actual NOA-2 in the mail yesterday.

So I received NO UPDATES AT ALL... Not Email, Not Text Message and the website unchanged.

Here's my breakdown:

July 2nd RFE Email

July 9 RFE Hardcopy

July 15 USCIS Rec'd Package ~ I got text telling me the case was updated and an email saying it was received. Status was also updated on USCIS Website.

July 22 with no contact and no change of status anywhere!! POOF!! MAGICAL NOA-2 Hardcopy in hand!!!

I almost lost my feet when I opened it and read "Approval Notice Valid from XX/XX/2013 to XX/XX/2013

I hope this helps anyone still waiting!!

I really don't understand why a lawyer well versed in Immigration Law would send ANYTHING to the Government without a tracking number.. But my lawyer did too... when we first applied. I was appalled and honestly I WILL NOT pay him or any other lawyer again for our AOS or anything else.. They don't care about the case as much as we do!

If I could go back and do it over... I/We would have spent the money on more plane tickets to see my Hubby-to-be!!

I always say that unless your case is complicated, hiring a lawyer for even $100 is unnecessary in the immigration process. Almost every form is self explanatory. I

Hang in there ....I am learning that just because you have approval the waiting stops ... So relax and accept that there s more waiting to do.

I got notice bt DOS that my file is at the consulate but the consulate doesnt hav it yey.....and they aren't going to be giving us an appointment until September because there is a new system of making appointments online. I have learned that there are two vVJer's tthat have their appointments in Napoli today and tomorrow but the were approved back in march and had to wait for this new system to kick in on July 16th .. So making appointments are back logged too (/:.......
