Hi everybody, we finally got our NVC case number yesterday (!), after countless calls to NVC for the past month... We are relieved but also frustrated that something that should have taken a few days (sending a petition from USCIS to NVC) actually took so long (NOA2 - July 18). mad.gif

So now that it's finally "moving" again... we are preparing ourselves for the next steps... I'm getting all the papers together on my end to send to my fiancee by DHL. I hope the consular officer doesn't go on a long vacation or some crazy thing like that... because at this point we have already blown past our hoped-for wedding dates and are going crazy from the long separation. I know all you guys are going through the same thing... try to be strong and remember that each day of waiting is also another day closer to being together! smile.png

Thanks Jeannie!! I just try to keep myself amused.. if it amuses others too that's a bonus!! LOL

Thank you, Yes!! I agree with you !! OUR approval is coming TODAY!! Amen! And so it is!

~ Jan ??,2013 ~ Service Center ~ Vermont I-129F Packet sent

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)

What is going on with USCIS? I received approval email and a text message on 7/16/2013 and this is what I got this morning.

"On July 18, 2013, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

I have not moved and been receiving all the letters they have been sending including RFC on 07/08/2013. I called the customer service and they wouldn't transfer me to second tier to talk to find out what address they tried to send the letter.

This is just crazy

well, i would be calling them right away and making sure what address they have, who knows what could happen with the USCIS nowadays.......they will resend it out, just call and give them your address again...i know, 1 more delay, i totally understand, but this is a simple fix!

They won't transfer you? They can't do that. If you demand a transfer they MUST transfer you. It is their policy there.

Hi all,

I just wanted to say that after I put in a request via the Customer Service Center. I got an email today that they looked into the problem saying that my Feb. 1. Petition had been APPROVED on July 6. However, the online system is not showing an approval, and I never got any other notifications. Now I am trying to figure out if they bothered sending it to the NVC or not. Does anyone have any similar stories or advice. Thanks for your help.

My fiance and I are sort of in a similar boat - got a call from the GA Congressman's office saying that our petition was approved on the 8th July (they rang and told us on the 12th). Nothing via email, phone, website has been updated however. I wanted USCIS to confirm it had actually been approved, so I made my fiance call yesterday. USCIS said that the petition had indeed been approved on the 8th. We have NO IDEA where things are up to though. We don't have our written NOA2, I have no idea if it has been transferred to the NVC (more than likely that's a big NO) and yeah.... we are just waiting to find out where things are out.

It is the most frustrating experience ever! I am visiting my fiance on 6th Sept for 2 1/2 months and was hoping to have my packet 3 details before then so i can lodge and organise the consulate interview for when i return. At the rate they are going and the lack of details this appears to be wishful thinking!!!!

Did anybody among people whose case were transferred to Texas get a new number of case???

Our case was sent to Department of State instead of NVC. This message they sent us on July, 17: :On July 16, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing". And our NOA-2 is from June, 17 so it took a whole month for them to send our case, so slowly guys :(

My approval was on the exact same day--the online site still says "initial review". No email. No text--I actually called two seperate times and both times I was assured that my petition had been approved. I was also advised that it can take up to 30 days to receive the hard copy of the NOA2 which I have yet to receive.

NVC is part of DOS, so yes it went to DOS by way of NVC
