I have an update after my info pass appointment!!!!!

They were so helpful. She was able to scan my paperwork i receivedwhen we got our receipt number. She saw our case in the system as transferred to Texas!!!! Not locally in Connecticut.

I asked how long oi would take because our petition outside the processing time. All she could do was put in a servic request and I would get a response by mail in two weeks...

So that's it kiddies... Our petitions are NOT being processed locally .....

So this pretty much confirms what our congressman's office found out through her USCIS liaison in DC - they are in fact in the TSC. Did she say anything regarding them being trained to handle I-129Fs? Our contact told us they are trained to do them and they are all in the system.

Update from our congressman's case analyst -

Good morning,

Just wanted to let you know that I spoke to our Congressional liaison in DC and he said that the cases were moved to Texas to help them process faster. He is looking into the claims you and I both made regarding what we were told from the Texas Service Center regarding them not knowing how to process the claims, etc. which is possibly causing undue panic. He did say that realistically it may take a month or two at the Texas Service Center to process those claims, so the total processing may go beyond the original quote of 5 months by a month or two, but by moving it to the Texas Service Center they will process sooner than they would have staying at the other center. He apologized for any inconvenience this may caused, but asked that you try to stay patient and he would try to get us a more “official” response regarding these claims and how you can follow-up on them.

Could we call the TSC and receive an update on our cases?

Don't know if there is a direct number for TSC. Probably meant call USCIS and they may have more up to date info now they're all in the system.

What is a service request I'm on hold with USCIS can I request a service request?

I called USCIS the rep Josue said that my case is not at all in Texas because if it was my receipt number would start with different lettering. Mine starts with EAC which is in connection to Vermont. He said that my case is now at my nearest local office in Atlanta and he guided me to set an appointment with them online at the infopass link. https://infopass.uscis.gov/infopass.php He said that he would check if my case was out of processing times based on the time frame of my original office Vermont. He said since my case was received in Dec it is still not over the normal processing time for Vermont and I should have to wait at least 1 month or so to get a service request done or then I can call back and get further information. He said Vermont is processing Oct's 2012.

Ignore this as the rep is obviously talking rubbish. Vermont case numbers are always EAC and California are always WAC. Because they've transferred the cases DOESN'T mean they're going to change all of our case numbers. Of course they're going to be EAC because all of our files started off at Vermont. The files are in Texas.

Yes it still doesn't give me that right answer feeling. Should I even set up an appointment with my local office? I think I wouldn't lose anything at this point. Also off topic I'm not able to see my content anymore I was able to yesterday. Do you know who I can ask for tech support on here? It says no content found. I appreciate your feed back. :)

Can't hurt to set up an InfoPass appointment. They aren't giving you the right answers at the USCIS call centre. In fact, it's utterly ridiculous saying that your case number doesn't match Texas because EAC is Vermont. -Of course- they are, as they have been transferred FROM Vermont!

You could try contacting a mod or post in the "site discussion" forum.

I did the infopass st my loal office in Connecticut... They not have the case... Texas does... The only helpful thing they could do locally that the vsc can't do is actually confirm its in Texas!!!!!
