Well technically you didn't send your application to Texas right? Receipt number EAC stands for Vermont and wherever they transfer our cases it is their internal thing. Changing now to Texas Service Center will remove a lot of applicant from Vermont and obviously will mess up with statistical data on Vermont timeline.

Imagine you have 10000 applications from DEC, JAN, FEB in VSC and suddenly 8000 DEC and JAN got transferred in TSC. FEB gets approved here and there in VSC - this adds up to statistical data. And if you change SC to Texas it changes timeline cause it collects information from 2000 applications now. But all 10000 applications were filed at Vermont.

Besides TSC is not working with I-129F directly. Therefore it is still VSC.

You are right, changing my service center from VSC to TSC does change the statistical data, but I'd hardly say it messes it up (at least not by that much). As far as I can tell, VJ computes the following stats by service center:

Avg Time from File Date to NOA1

Avg. Time from NOA1 to NOA2

Avg. Total days to approval

It also gives a rough estimation of the date that each center is currently working on for each type of form.

By switching your service center, the only metric you are "messing" with is the Avg. Time from File Date to NOA1. Those being processed at TSC should NOT count towards the average time from NOA1 to NOA2 for VSC nor the Avg. Total days to Approval since they are no longer being processed at VSC. Also by leaving your service center as VSC, this falsely skews the current processing date that is reported for VSC for K-1 visas.

Also, by leaving your SC as VSC, Igors list becomes misleading. For instance, if you scroll down to the unapproved petition tables, you'll see many more people ahead of you than there are in reality. IMO, the purpose of the timelines is for users to get an idea of how long it will take from NOA1 to NOA2 (approval). Switching the service center does mess up one of the stats, but it allows more accurate stats for the most important stat, when can I expect an approval. In reality, the timeline system on VJ is deficient. They should add a transfer option to allow people to view time between transfer and NOA2 while not affecting the time between Filing and NOA1. Since the TSC people really care about when the transfers are getting approved, not those who are still at VSC, the most practical way to do that is to switch the SC to TSC.

This part of the system is definitely the waiting game with no time in sight. Hard to control it, and I know I was trying to make heads of it too. You can do certain things to help push it along, but until you're outside the processing window you are left to wait for the system. Hang in there, we all are, and we will all get there. After you get your NoA2 at least things will become more clear. You start to see the wedding, the house, the dog, and being to live the the life you are looking forward too. Just keep it positive and positive things will come. Wish you the best and for your approval to come soon.

Thank uu!!

I know we just have to be patient but huuuuuhhhhh!!

Im december 10th filler!!

Hopping getting it soon!!

Thanks for ur support!!

My 2 cents...

Either all should change to TSC or none should. But having some change it to TSC and most not change it, it just gets messy.

I have no preference either way, but seeing as how the majority of people that have TSC in their timeline, have it there in error ("because they sent their petition to the lockbox in Texas, so therefore it must be TSC"), the statistics for TSC will always be in error.

I agree. Unfortunately, at this point, its unlikely to get everyone to switch back. Not all TSC transfers follow this thread or will necessarily read a new thread requesting everyone to change it back. VJ needs to add an option in the timelines to track transfers.

Switching back to VSC is making them look good so we should leave it as it is. TSC should be ready to process more VSC applications because they aren't going to change. I bet VSC will retrogress again within the next two to three months.

I just received response on my recent inquiry and it really confuses me. What kind of notice they talk about? Does it mean I am getting RFE after 6 1/2 months of wait? Did anyone got similar response on case inquiry?

Here it is:

Your filing has been transferred to another USCIS office to provide you a more timely adjudication of the petition. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

What You Can Do

Please follow any instructions on the notice, respond to the notice by the response deadline, and submit any requested information along with the original notice with your response.

Important Information

We encourage you to respond to the notice by the response deadline. Regulations do not provide for an extension of time to respond to our notice.

If you do not respond to our notice by the response deadline, we will deny your petition/application due to abandonment. You may not appeal a denial due to abandonment; however, you may re-file your petition or application at your earliest convenience.

Hey I got a response to my service request I submitted on TUE but it is different from this mine says:

Type of service requested:

-- Outside Normal Processing Times

The status of this service request is:

You or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your petition to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Looking at this it doesn't really give much information to be honest...

i just called to speak to a TIER 2 and once on hold for like 90 minutes the officer comes on. And i told them I would like to put in a service request. He started to tell me that VSC is currently processing Oct 15 but I wouldnt have them feeding me that BS. So i told them its been stated for over a month and a half that VSC is still at Oct 15 and that is wrong. I have seen people being processed all the way in Dec being approved. So he was tired of me being irate and asked me for my email and he will send an inquiry to an adjucator. Thus my email from VSC that they will expedite my case.

I did speak with Tier 2 and was on hold about 2 hours. But finally when he answered he was very unfriendly, ignoring some of my questions. I did tell him about 5 months processing time from USCIS.gov and he answered that it usually takes 9 months so I am withing normal processing times, basically just ignore whatever is written on USCIS.gov. I told him about December and Jan filers getting approvals and RFE's and case right before mine got RFE on June 19th. He said: "well all cases are different and they go in order they are received." ranting33va.gif Then I asked him what are my options? What CAN you tell me? He just said I have officer assigned to our case and I have to wait it could take 3 MONTHS. ranting33va.gifprotest6wz.gif Because they have to train TSC officers and it takes about 45 days, only then they start to look at the cases. Which is BS! So there was no way to get anything else from this unfriendly guy.

I will try again.

Exactly! It is just generic replies.. cray5ol.gif

I have already 2 inquiries answered and they are different. In one of them they MISSPELLED my name, so maybe human workers are typing a name in computer and then just choose generic answer randomly just to get rid of us. rolleyes.gif

And when you call USCIS they say: "go by the email. All information is in email."

Pffffffff.....

As far as the Timelines go.. VSC being listed over TSC.. If the originator of the VJ Site and Tracking Timeline Program said "Do not switch Service Centers EVEN IF your case is transferred"... I'm going to go with that.

I work for a Software Company and "customizing things" usually breaks it. IJS

~ Jan ??,2013 ~ Service Center ~ Vermont I-129F Packet sent

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)
