We had nuns that would save the little stubs of chalk, and could hit any nodding student between the eyes at a hundred feet, no problem. Talk about classroom size, our classes in elementary school always had between fifty and sixty students, and our textbooks were usually outdated, but we always kicked ####### on the public schools come test time. Those nuns were tough! I went back and forth between public and parochial schools, so I had some insight to both systems.

We actually had very few Nuns and they were the modern day progressive types. Class sizes here were pretty small. 666 people at my high school (right?). Same with text books and testing though. Always higher scores. I did same with schools, public schools k-8 then catholic for high school. I liked the catholic schools way better.

I did spend one year at a Carmelite High School. No nuns, friars. All boys, and small school as well and smaller class sizes. I think the total student body was around 450 students for a four year school. I went to public high school for my final three years will a student body of around 1500, and half of them females. That was the best part. Well, that and metal shop. I was getting burned out on the whole college prep thing, although I did finish all the advanced placement classes.

Good to know that a piece of satire is sexist but these comments are not. whistling.gif

I make no bones about my sexism. Men and women are different and I am not pretending they are not just to be politically correct. I am unabashedly a man. I open doors, I let women order first and I take charge when it's take charge time.

People can yap all they want to about gender equality, but men and women have roles. Women love men that take charge, and know what they want.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Wasn't directed at you either. We had activity by the sexist police squad in this thread. Your and Nature Boys comments must have fallen through the cracks. I was just wondering how that could have happened.

No I didn't think it was. I assumed a mod had set a precedent somewhere.

Ok ok fine. I agree that congress will be better off without mb based on her political stance on several issues. I have little faith however that someone significantly better will replace her considering it will almost certainly be republican and no one in Washington seems to be able to do anything that isn't written on a partisan agenda.

Why would it almost certainly be a Republican replacing her? As the incumbent, she was barely able to hold on to her seat in 2012.

This is true and should go to show how bad she was and probably why she's out. Look up her district in the last presidential election. Pretty high republican vote. Traditional votes are screwed republican as well
