My CR1 case has been in AP for 3 months now. I want to visit my wife, do you think I should try and apply for the ESTA Visa Waiver Program? Or best thing to do is wait?

have you contacted the embassy to see why so long in AP? i am not sure because i dont find AP on the us embassy website for italy but usually AP whenit has pasted 60 days (2 month) you can ask about the status of your case.

I have emailed the consulate already but no answer just we will contact you once ap is over.

So since I am still waiting I want to visit my wife. I would like to know if its worth the risk to visit her asking for a vwp

yes you can try the VWP - there is nothing wrong in it.

You will have to demonstrate you have strong ties back to home country while visiting on VWP, as far as I know they would be able to see you have CR1 in the process.

I have read about ppl posting on this forum where they have visited their spouse on VWP while CR1 was in process.

My problem is that it is in Admin Process, I personally visited my wife while my visa was in process but not when it was under admin process so I don't know...!
