hi VJ

I have 2 questions about

I'm the petitioner my husband is the beneficiary, he lives in Morocco.

I live in the US I'm the only sponsor Family size is : my mom (she's not working), my son (12 years old), and me (working), i'm the only income and i don't need a co-sponsor alhamdoullilah i make more than what they ask in the poverty guideline.

My question is which one to file I864, I864a or I 864Ez or all of them? remember i'm the only sponsor i don't need a co-sponsor

My next question: i noticed in the interview even when people make more than the poverty guidelines sometimes the officer say i's not enough you need a co sponsor. since i'm the only sponsor and i don't need a co sponsor can i add my retirement+401k+ stock in the application where they say "assets" just to be on the safe side that way my hubby won't have a problem in the embassy.

Thank you

I have to file again the new I864 anyway since the new version just came out

You can use either the I864 or the I864EZ, if you are filing just for your husband, using your income and previous income, and are not using a sponsor. I just did the I864 for my husband. The I864A is if you are using a co-sponsor or sponsoring more than one person from overseas. The I864W is if you are using your qualified 40 quarters of coverage from SSA as earned. From my understanding.

You can get the instruction sheets from the uscis.gov website, giving indications for each form on when they should and shouldn't be used. Based on what you have said, either of the two I mentioned would be acceptable.

I think you have to use form i-864 only. Submit it along with other supporting docs. If you are showing any sort of assets, make sure you are providing proof of that assets, otherwise NVC will send you a checklist again to provide proof.

Hope that helps.

If you qualify on income only and its shown on one or more tax transcripts, are only sponsoring the one person, and have no joint sponsors, you may use the I-864ez. We did because it is a much simpler form.

However if you want to include assets then you need the I-864.

My husband is my sponsor and his mom is a join sponsor . as they filled the form out on march and sent it to the NVC , I do not know if the ambassy will ask me for the 2012 taxes ????

I called this mornig the NVc who told me that all is done and they will send all the packets to the ambassy.

My question is again : will the ambassy ask me to bring an other i864 ??/
