Historically fast.

The rest of your process will be a BIT slower.....LOL.

Congratulations and just remember that NOW is where you must settle down and have patience.

Thanks everyone!!! What a wonderful Thanksgiving surprise indeed. My first tactic was going to be to overwhelm them with information, but in the end I just picked out a couple of key things. Like someone said, we will never no why this case was so speedy, but here is what I sent in my packet (for those about to apply to Vermont they may find this useful):

The necessary forms 129-f, 325 (including, in my estimation, a kick butt letter about how we met)

A copy of my passport only with the stamps explained (to prove citizenship and to prove meeting within 2 years)

One month of my phone bill with calls to him

One example e-mail, however I have gmail and did a search on his name....I then also printed out the results that said your search returned one of hundreds of e-mails

4 pictures of us together in distinct places (Paris with eiffel tower...you get the idea)

4 Boarding passes (3 of mine that I could find, and one of his)

Our frequent flyer statements with trips we took together highlighted

All of this fit very comfortably into one folder. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Once again, thanks to all who posted before me so that I was able to have a great idea of what to do.

July 2002 -- Met Keith on a train traveling (I chatted him up) from London up to Scotland while my friend and I were touring after graduation. He said when we made it up to Scotland to give him a call and he would be our guide in Edinburgh.

Couple days later in early August -- Met up with Keith in Edinburgh. He was the worst tour guide ever!!! He did know where the good pubs were, though. He showed us around for 3 days.

July 2002 - December 2002 -- Keith and I keep in touch e-mailing and talking on the phone

December 2002 -- Keith comes to visit for New Year's in NYC. We decide then to become "official" (or however you say it)

2003-2006 -- Dating and lots of travel (over 200,000 air miles between us)

November 2006 -- Proposal!

11/13/06 -- Mailed 129-f

11/15/06 -- NOA1

11/21/06 -- NOA2

I'm moving... hahahahhaha

Hope you have a equal speedy time to the interview..

Today I received in my e-mail notice that my petition for fiance had been approved. I sent my 129-F in on the 13th of November with overnight shipping and today I got this message 8 times in my e-mail (why they sent it so many times I do not know):

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On November 21, 2006, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Case Status & Processing Dates.

*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message.

Sincerely,

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

I have no idea why it would be this fast. I did think that our case was pretty straightforward though. I alone have over 12 stamps in my passport book with a Heathrow or Edinburgh stamp. I also thought that perhaps since I am a female applying for a male it would be easier as well (don't know why I thought this...just did). Thank you so much for everyone's help here. The online guides were a wonderful resource. I was nervous because on the how we met question I took the liberty to be a little fun and joked around a bit. I thought it may not have been official enough. Apparently they didn't mind. I hope this is not a mistaken e-mail they sent out. Thanks so much again...I know I will have many more questions for the next hurdles.

Hi Denis,

I did not apply for an military expidite. So I cannot help you out with that one. I will check to see if it says that in my timeline and if so correct it. I just got really lucky I guess. I can only speculate as to why it was this quick. I am very thankful though. Thanks again to everyone for the well wishes.
