hi everyone i have something to ask about marriage certificate me and my husband when we filed all documents our marriage certificate we sent is original but is not from NSO copied so do you think we having problem about this coz my my marriage certificate is not copied from NSO any who knows this pls reply back

everytime i edit my timeline i cant save its show fix the error all my dates is correct

the original but is not certified copy from national statistic office or NSO

i usually stay out of Philippines stuff, cuz they seem to have their own set of rule.. LOL>>

but i would think original is better then certified copy.. imo, the only downside is that you may not get it back..

i am just guess out loud..

I think you will be fine but you should not sent the original photo copy is ok. You will need the NSO copy and Certificate on your interview. Good luck

Let's just hope you don't get RFE for it. Marriage Certificate alone does not mean it was it was registered in NSO

Looking at your timeline, you're way passed your adjudication date (late Dec '12 to early Jan '13). Did you contact USCIS yet to follow up?

You sent the original marriage certificate?

IIRC, that is issued by the Office of the Civil Registrar General...with the red documentary stamp? If so, I do not believe you should have sent that. That is the original marriage certificate.

NSO issues their certified copies of the original documents. They are scanned on their security paper. USCIS and NVC accept NSO civil documents as original.

Honestly, I would try to get that original marriage certificate after your interview at USEM. Just my opinion.

actually my timeline adjudicated is wrong,coz that time we dont have any answer we received,my husband received appointment letters from uscis on may 11 2013 so thats mean uscis start to process now im waiting 11 months now since my NOA1 im still waiting the NOA2 until now

everytime i edit my timeline i cant save its show fix the error all my dates is correct

Sorry. We're having some confusion.

NSO is the only recognized agency that certifies civil documents for USCIS and NVC. If you had a certified copy of your marriage certificate elsewhere, it will not be accepted.

No, that's not a problem. The one with the red documentary stamp is actually the original, not a copy. My first marriage certificate was the one with the stamp.

That is accepted.
