Any input on co-sponsors?

Hi everyone. I'm new to VJ and the immigration process, had a look through the first few pages and around the guides before I asked, but sorry if I still missed info!

Who has experience with co-sponsors? My fiance will not be able to fulfill the support requirements by himself, but I have a couple of people who I think will be happy to be co-sponsors. Is this going to make the process substantially more difficult for us?

Also, what do I submit as "evidence of engagement"? Just the Letters of Intent to Marry or is there something else we should be looking at?

Hi, I think it varies per embassy if they allow co-sponsors, so you can check the forums for your country.

As for the evidence of engagement (assuming this is for the interview? It's pretty much the same as "proof of having met in the past 2 years" which you will submit with the petition).. we will be bringing the receipt of our wedding rings we already bought, as well as photos, hotel booking confirmation, plane ticket/itineraries, scanned copy of our passport stamps.

Ohh, okay. Neither of us are big on the wedding industry so we haven't bought rings or anything, but we have plenty of evidence of time spent together. I'll check the forums about co-sponsors. Thanks!

It won't make the process more difficult. You just need a co-sponsor that meets the income requirement for their own household size plus the foreign fiance(e).

Yes, proof of engagement are new letters of intent from each of you.
