This is great news. Are you aware of anyone F2A person in the past that has successfully submit I-485, while I-130 is still pending?

Given that NAO2 for F2A category takes forever, there will be a lot of F2A applicants planning to adjust in the US while their I-130 is pending.

Salut. I have heard of other people doing so. On the i-485 they put "pending i-130" under the category or reason they can do an AOS (check box "Other.")

I have verified this on many forums with this FAQ being the most helpfull.

Q. Can I-485 be filed if I-130 is still pending?

A. Yes, USCIS allows concurrent filing of I-130 and I-485 application. This means that you can file I-130 and I-485 at the same time ONLY if F2A category is current. Since F2A category is generally retrogressed, applicant first file I-130 to establish PD. Once the PD is current they file I-485 application. You can file I-485 application when your PD is current; even if I-130 is still pending. Do not file I-485 application if PD is not current.

Note: Derivatives of US Citizen can concurrently file I-130 and I-485 anytime.

I hope this clears up any questions for you. Just do NOT send the application before Aug 1 (unless your PD is already current in the June or July VB). Otherwise it will actually delay your application.

It still would be Chicago. Normally the I-130 would be approved prior, but since things are moving fast, it is if it is a concurrant filing of the I-130. If you look at the second column, it reads:

"Where applicable, you must include a copy of the Form I-797C Notice of Approval, showing that your Form I-130 or Form I-360 was accepted or approved."

None of the other categories comes close to matching our situation. If you are worried, you can always call USCIS and ask, but I warn you that they don't always know what they are talking about (and by "they" I mean the service reps). :)
